摘要： This invention relates to a three-layer, polyester film with A-B-C structure, which includes a base layer B, preferably formed from PET, disposed between cover layers A and C. The cover layers contain polyester with ethylene terephthalate and/or ethylene isophthalate units and, as an additional polymer poly(m-xylene-adipamide) in an amount of 10 to 45 wt. %. At least one of the cover layers also contains an antiblocking agent preferably with a mean particle diameter of 2 to 5 μm. This film has a high oxygen barrier.

The base layer of the polyester film of the invention also comprises from 2 to 60% by weight of a cycloolefin copolymer (COC), from 0.1 to 25% by weight of a white pigment, and, if desired, from 0 to 5% by weight of an optical brightener, based on the weight of the base layer. The glass transition temperature of the COC here is to be within the range from 70 to 270° C. The film is particularly suitable for packing foods or other consumable items which are sensitive to light and/or to air, or for use in industry, e.g. for producing hot-stamping foils or as a label film, or for image-recording papers, printed sheets, or magnetic recording cards, or for processing on high-speed machinery for winding, metallizing, printing or laminating.

摘要： The invention relates to a transparent, biaxially oriented polyester film with a base layer B, at least 80% by weight of which is composed of a thermoplastic polyester, and with at least one outer layer A. The outer layer A is composed of a copolymer or a mixture of polymers/copolymers which contains ethylene 2,6-naphthalate units in a range of from 90 to 98% by weight and up to 10% by weight of ethylene terephthalate units, and/or units derived from cycloaliphatic or aromatic diols and/or dicarboxylic acids. Its thickness is more than 0.7 &mgr;m and makes up less than 25% by weight of the total film and the Tg2 value of the polyester film is above the Tg2 value of the base layer, but below the Tg2 value of the polyester for the outer layer. The transparent film has low permeability to atmospheric oxygen and exhibits very good adhesion between the individual layers. It is particularly suitable for packaging purposes, specifically for packaging foods or other consumable items.
