    • An emulation circuit includes a digital signal processor with a digital filter controlled by frequency response conversion parameters for converting a standard microphone signal into a signal emulating the frequency response of one of a plurality of microphones selected by a selector connected to the digital signal processor. Optionally the conversion parameters can also include phase response conversion parameters. The emulation circuit can be included in a receiver for a wireless microphone or in a microphone itself.

    • A voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) circuit having low sensitivity to fabrication process variation, operating temperature variation, and power supply noise. The circuit of the present invention includes a current source controller, a bias circuit, and a first and second VCO cell. The first and second VCO cells are coupled to each other and are coupled to the bias circuit. The VCO circuit of the present invention also includes a VCO output for transmitting a VCO output signal to external electronics. A bias circuit current source is coupled to the bias circuit to transmit a bias circuit current from a power supply to the bias circuit. A first current source is coupled to the first VCO cell to transmit a first current from the power supply to the first VCO cell. A second current source coupled to the second VCO cell to transmit a second current from the power supply to the second VCO cell. The bias circuit current source, the first current source, and the second current source are each coupled to the current source controller to increase the power supply rejection ratio of the VCO circuit of the present invention. The first VCO cell and the second VCO cell each have respective first and second load transistors coupled to receive a bias compensation signal from the bias circuit such that the VCO output signal is less affected by changes in temperature and by fabrication process variation.

    • A SFP checking device (SFP Check) connects to a SFP transceiver and a PC or laptop via a USB cable. The SFP Check uses the default web browser of the PC, without an internet connection, to display details of the SFP transceiver such as wavelength, description, range, manufacturer, among other information, in accordance with program code provided to the PC via the SFP Check. All of the information a technician in the field needs to determine which SFP transceiver is the right one for a selected application and optical link is available from the SFP Check. The SFP Check and SFP transceiver both receive power via the USB cable connection to the PC. The SFP Check appears to the PC as a memory stick. A method is provided for determining the drive letter associated with the SFP Check and the program coder or file(s) it provides to the PC.

    • The present invention provides a portable fire pit to be used in conjunction with particularly sized fuel blocks, whereby these fuel blocks are manually positioned in a square-shaped configuration around ventilation holds provided through the base of the fire pit. Alignment flanges on the base provide a positioning and alignment brace structure for the fuel blocks, which are fitted into an abutting relationship with the alignment flanges and one another on the base. The ventilation holes are formed to align with an inner chimney formed by the positioning of the fuel blocks. This chimney is formed over the ventilation holes to allow the fire to burn from the chimney outwardly through the blocks and thereby provide an efficient burning of the fuel.
