摘要： Disclosed are a papermaking method comprising the steps of sheet-formation of an aqueous papermaking stock which contains a cellulose fiber or the said fiber and an inorganic filler, dewatering and drying, characterized by the addition of a starch ether derivative of a general formula (I): ##STR1## where St-O represents a starch molecule residue, R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 independently represent an alkyl group having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms or a benzyl group, provided that two or more of these R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 must not be a benzyl group or an alkyl group having from 5 to 18 carbon atoms at the same time, and any two of these R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 may be bonded to form a cyclic structure, the said derivative containing the ether bond preferably in a degree of substitution of from 0.01 to 0.1, to the said papermaking stock in an amount of from 0.05 to 5.0% by weight of the cellulose fiber or the total of the said fiber and the inorganic filler in the said stock, as well as the said starch ether derivative of the formula (I) and a method for preparation of the said derivative.

摘要： This invention provides a method and an apparatus for controlling a polymerization reaction. The temperature difference between a target temperature, calculated from the degradation rate of a polymerization initiator, which varies as a function of temperature, and a polymerization reactor temperature is calculated. The difference in polymerization rate between a target polymerization rate previously set and a polymerization rate calculated from a measured heat release value at a certain time in the polymerization process is calculated. The temperature inside the reactor is finely adjusted on the basis of the temperature difference and the difference in polymerization rate.

摘要： An automatic wire end arranging system includes a wire holder for holding one ends of the wires, a wire feed device for feeding the wire ends one by one from the wire holder, and a transport device for transporting each wire end from the wire feed device to an arranging device. The arranging device includes a fixture having a plurality of parallel receptive sections, and a table mounted adjacent to the fixture and having a slit, a probe device operable to make electrical contact with the wire end, fed to the table by the transport device, to feed a probe signal, a first drive device operable to move the table, a second drive device operable to bring the wire end on the table into alignment with the slit, and a third drive device operable to urge the wire end, disposed in alignment with the slit, into a selected one of the receptive sections through the slit. A control device, to which the other ends of the wires are electrically connected, is responsive to the probe signal to operate the first drive device to move the table, thereby bringing the slit into alignment with the selected receptive sections corresponding to the probed wire. The control device is responsive to the probe signal to operate the second and third drive devices to bring the wire end into alignment with the slit and to urge the wire end into the selected receptive sections through the slit.
