    • PURPOSE:To easily produce a wire rod excellent in superconducting property by continuously providing a wire rod made of Ag or a silver alloy in the longitudinal direction inside of a linear body composed of a raw material for an oxide superconductor. CONSTITUTION:As the method for providing wire rods 13 made of Ag or a silver alloy; (a) an oxide superconductor raw material 10 is formed into a linear body 11 by compression forming or the like, followed by forming holes 12 of the desired dimensions, and being succeeded by inserting the wire rods 13 therein; or (b) an oxide superconductor raw material 15 is filled in a metal sheath 14, followed by forming a metal sheath composite 16, and being succeeded by forming holes 12 in the raw material portion such that the wire rods 13 are inserted therein; in this case (c) when at least one wire rod 13 is continuously provided in the longitudinal direction of the raw material portion, other wire rods 17 may be dispersed short. Linear bodies 11 and 16 are reduced in area by a reduction-of-area working such as an extrusion, a drawing, etc., followed by heat treatment so as to produce an oxide superconducting wire.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a superconductive member with a greatly increased critical current density by specifying the position of permanent-conductive substance layers in the superconductive member when arranging side by side the units each of superconductive substance layers and permanent-conductive substance layers laminated thereon in its longitudinal direction to provide a superconductive wire member. CONSTITUTION:The disposition of a permanent-conductive substance layer existing in a superconductive wire member is defined as one which is represented by the formula [I]. Namely, the formula [I] is a1 (m)=1.07X(phi0/B) where phi0 represents the unit of quantum magnetic flux (207X10 T) and B the magnetic flux density (the unit is T) of the magnetic field used. In this way, the interval (al) between the magnetic flux gratings is approached to the value obtained from the formula [I] above while the density of the permanent-conductive substance layer is defined to range from 10 to 50% of the volumetric ratio as defined by the formula [II], which is in the form of 'Volumetric Ratio (%)=(Volume of Permanent Conductive Substance Layer)/(Volume of Filament)X100'. Namely, a base member tape 10 and superconductive substance or permanent-conductive substance pattern 12 are alternately disposed, whereby the wire member is reduced in diameter and then is elongated.
