    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable composition for surface protection easily forming a protection film on the surface of a workpiece which is removable without leaving adhesive residues after processing.
      SOLUTION: The curable composition for surface protection comprises (A) a (meth)acrylate having not less than one (meth)acryloyl group at the terminal or in the side chain of the molecule and a molecular weight of not less than 500, (B) a (meth)acrylate other than (A), and (C) a photopolymerization initiator. Preferably, it comprises (D) an inorganic filler. More preferably, it has a viscosity of not less than 5,000 mPa s. A method of surface protection of a workpiece using the curable composition for surface protection is presented.

      SOLUTION: The composition comprises (A) a polyfunctional (meth)acrylate (B) a monofunctional (meth)acrylate, (C) a compound coloring on being irradiated with rays and (D) a photopolymerization initiator. Preferably, the components (A) and (B) are hydrophobic and the component(C) is a leuco dye. The method for temporarily fixing a member comprises temporarily adhesively fixing the member using the composition, processing the member thus temporarily fixed followed by immersing this member in a hot water of 90°C or lower to detach the cured form of the composition.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the removal of a temporary fixation during the processing of an optical member, and a composition suitable therefor.
      SOLUTION: The composition, which composes an adhesive, comprises (A) a polyfunctional (meth)acrylate, (B) a monofunctional (meth)acrylate, (C) a polar organic solvent, and (D) a photopolymerization initiator. Preferably (C), (A) and (B) have hydrophobicity. The adhesive consisting of this composition is provided. The temporary fixation method of the member comprises attaching and temporarily fixing the member using the above composition, processing the temporarily fixed member, then re-irradiating the light of wavelengths of ≤700 nm onto the supporting substrate, thereafter immersing the processed member into warm water of ≤90°C, and stripping and removing only the workpiece while leaving the cured product of the composition on the substrate side. The surface roughness (RMax) of the substrate surface which faces the composition is 10-50 μm, and it is 10 μm or more larger than the surface roughness (RMax) of the surface of the member which faces the composition.
