摘要： An improved cooling process for thermoplastic film webs, profiles, or shapes and interlocking closure profiles extruded onto film webs for use on reclosable bags or containers is provided. A mixture of a surfactant and water is used to cool film webs or closure profiles which have been extruded and secured onto a film web. The surfactant lowers the surface tension of the water, improving its wetting properties and providing faster cooling of the film. The resulting film structures are more stable and consistent in structure.

摘要： A resealable vacuum-tight closure mechanism has a first closure element that includes a first base and a second closure element that includes a second base. A first contact surface on a first interlocking profile depends from the first base and a second contact surface on a second interlocking profile depends from the second base. The first and second contact surfaces provide a maximum occlusion distance when the first and second interlocking profiles are in an occluded state. A first sealing member extends from the first base, has a first length, is spacedly disposed from the first interlocking profile, and has a first sealing surface disposed thereon. A second sealing member extends from the second base, has a second length, is spacedly disposed from the second interlocking profile, and has a second sealing surface disposed thereon that is complementary to the first sealing surface. A sealing reservoir protrusion is disposed between the first sealing member and the first interlocking profile and has a volume sufficient to form a first gastight seal in a first occluded space between the first and second closure elements and bounded by the first and second occluded sealing members and the first and second occluded interlocking profiles upon formation of an end-stomp at an end of the first and second closure elements. A sum of the first and second lengths of the respective first and second sealing members is greater than or about equal to a length necessary to maintain a second gastight seal between the first and second sealing surfaces when the first and second interlocking profiles are in the occluded state.

A vacuum pump is engagable with the check valve to remove air from the interior of the container to create a vacuum in the container. The diaphragm is pushed inward by atmospheric forces upon removal of the air until the diaphragm touches and conforms to at least upper exposed surfaces of the contents of the container. The storage container aids in preventing degradation of the contents of the container by maintaining the contents free from the degrading effects of air and by substantially immobilizing the contents during movement of the container to protect the contents from breakage and bruising.
