摘要： A network camera apparatus is disclosed including an image requisition unit which obtains an analog signal of an image and converts this into digital format; an image compression unit which utilizes standard image compression techniques (JPEG, MJPEG) to decrease the data size; an image processing unit which analyzes the compressed data of each image, detects motion from compressed data, and identifies background and foreground regions for each image; a data storage unit which stores the image data processed by the image processing unit; a traffic detection unit which detects the traffic amount of the network and decides the frame rates of the image data to be transmitted; and a communication unit which communicates with the network to transmit the image data and other signals.

摘要： Multiple methods of performing whole body scans using a cost-effective small magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system are disclosed. High magnetic field homogeneity of an open, small MRI is obtained by a combination of passive shimming and high order active shimming. A dynamic shimming while imaging (DSWI) method is provided to dynamically optimize field homogeneity for each scanned slab (slice) during imaging. Also provided is a method that scan a large subject volume only using a limited optimal imaging region of a magnet by continuously adjusting patient position and orientations with a 6 degrees of freedom patient table.

摘要： 1.alpha.,24(S)-Dihydroxy vitamin D.sub.2 which is useful as an active compound of pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of disorders of calcium metabolism and for various skin disorders. The invention also includes preparation of synthetic 1.alpha.,24(S)-dihydroxy vitamin D.sub.2 starting from ergosterol which is converted in six steps to 24-hydroxyergosterol. 24-Hydroxyergosterol is irradiated and thermally converted to 24-hydroxy vitamin D.sub.2 which is converted in six steps to 1.alpha.,24(S)-dihydroxy vitamin D.sub.2. The syntheses also produced novel intermediates.
