    • PURPOSE: Provided is a composition of styrene thermoplastic fire retardant which has excellent fire retardant property as well as heat resistance, tensile strength and impact strength. CONSTITUTION: The composition comprises: (A) 40-95wt.% rubber-modified styrene resin containing (a1) 20-100wt.% of styrene-acrylonitrile graft copolymer having 10-60wt.% rubber and 18-50wt.% of styrene-acrylonitrile except the rubber content and (a2) 0-80wt.% of styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer resin having 18-50wt.% of acrylonitrile; (B) 5-60wt.% of polyphenylene ether resin; (C) 10-40wt.% of styrene resin; (D) 2-30wt.% of styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer resin (based on 100wt.% of (A)+(B)+(C)) having 5-18wt.% of acrylonitrile; and (E) 0.5-30wt.% of cyclic alkyl phosphonic acid compound (based on 100wt.% of the basic resin of (A)+(B)+(C)).

    • PURPOSE: Provided is a fire retardant thermoplastic resin composition which has good fire retardancy irrespective of the kind of a resin by using en epoxy resin having a good char generating property together with a phosphorus-based compound. CONSTITUTION: The thermoplastic resin composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic resin; 0.1-50 parts by weight of an epoxy derivative represented by the formula 1; 1-50 parts by weight of a phosphorus-based compound; and optionally 0-50 parts by weight of at least one additive selected from the group consisting of a dropping preventer, a plasticizer, a heat stabilizer, an antioxidizing agent, a photo stabilizer, a compatibilizer, a pigment and/or dye and an inorganic additive. In formula 1, X is an alkyl group of C1-C34, an aryl group, an aryl group substituted with an alkyl group, an aralkyl group, or an O, N, P or S-containing alkyl, aryl or aryl group substituted with an alkyl group.

The graft copolymer resin containing styrene(A) has a grafting degree of 50-70 wt.% and a weight average molecular weight of 50000-60000, and the copolymer resin(B) has a weight average molecular weight of 120000-60000.
