摘要： PURPOSE: To improve the effectiveness of a carbonaceous fuel and heighten the efficiency and usefulness by reforming the carbonaceous fuel into a fuel cell reactive gas, bringing the reactive gas into contact with a fuel cell, recovering and refining a reaction product in an anode waste gas, and re- circulating the refined reaction product to the anode. CONSTITUTION: A carbonaceous fuel 2 is reformed by steam reforming 3 into a reactive gas of a fuel cell, the reactive gas is brought into contact with a fuel cell 4, and the reaction product in the anode waste gas discharged out of the anode part 4a of the fuel cell 4 is recovered and re-circulated. Before the reaction product recovered from the anode waste gas is re-circulated, the anode waste gas is led through a reforming catalyst 12 and the lower grade hydrocarbons in the waste gas are converted into the reaction product for the fuel cell. Consequently, the use efficiency of the carbonaceous fuel can be heightened.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide improved homogeneity over a horizontal cross section of a reactor in downward flow from a chimney and to provide improved mixing of gas and a liquid which enter a second distributor tray before contact with a catalyst bed behind the reactor. SOLUTION: In a downflow catalytic reactor through which a mixture of gas and a liquid is passed, the region between subsequent catalyst beds is provided with a distributor system for distributing a gas/liquid mixture prior to contact with a subsequent catalyst bed. The distributor system comprises (a) a gas injection line, (b) a recovery tray 4, (c) a spillway collector 5, (d) a mixing chamber 6, (e) an impingement plate 7 below the mixing chamber, (f) a first distributor tray 8 disposed below the impingement plate, and (g) a second distributor tray 10 disposed below the first distributor tray.
