    • A method of generating on a display device an electronic program guide for broadcast channels. Electronic program guide information for a plurality of broadcast channels is received at an electronic terminal from a broadcast media server. The electronic program guide information includes live video streams and/or snapshot pictures from programs that are presently being broadcast on a plurality of broadcast channels. A graphical arrangement of a plurality of objects is generated on the display device. Each of the objects is associated with a different one of the broadcast channels. The live video stream and/or the snapshot picture from the program that is presently being broadcast on the associated broadcast channel is displayed on a defined surface of each of the associated objects. A three-dimensional graphical arrangement may be generated from the objects. Each of the objects may extend with a respective virtual depth into the display device that is controlled to indicate to a user how much time remains in the program that is presently being broadcast on the associated broadcast channel. Related electronic terminals and media servers are disclosed.

    • A method and arrangement for providing updated information on the availability of multimedia options to terminal users. A first terminal (A) is initially engaged in a voice call with a second terminal (B) by using a first access (100) admitting simultaneous multimedia communication. At least one available multimedia option (104,106) is indicated based on capabilities of the first and second terminals. A change of connection is then detected from the first access to a second access (200) not admitting simultaneous multimedia communication. In response thereto, a multimedia disabling notification is sent to the second terminal, and said at least one multimedia option is indicated as being no longer available (204,206). Preferably, the multimedia disabling notification is sent as an SMS message.

    • A multimedia gateway for enabling a remote device to access a local device located in a private network via a residential gateway of the private network is provided. The multimedia gateway includes: connecting means for connecting to the private network and a multimedia service network, first receiving means for receiving authentication information from the remote device over the private network, storing means for storing the authentication information in a memory, second receiving means for receiving a session invite message from the remote device over the multimedia service network, the session invite message including authentication information, and authenticating means for authenticating the remote device by determining whether or not the authentication information included in the session invite message has been stored in the memory by the storing means.

    • A method, a system, a server, and a computer program product are provided for Multimedia Capability discovery of different user terminals. Unnecessary use of the radio interface is avoided based on a network storage, which is accessible without registration to find out about the calling as well as the called user's multimedia capabilities during a voice call. If there is a positive capability discovery result out of this for both users, the system sends a message to each of the user terminals that they should notify the users, e.g., by displaying an icon above a soft button. There is no need for establishing a packet switched session, which uses a lot of radio interface signalling, until the Multimedia Service capability of both subscribers and their user terminals is investigated and responded to both user terminals and their users.

    • A method and arrangement for remotely controlling the communication of media between devices in different local networks (200, 202) using a remote control device (200b). The remote control device obtains discovery information on a first device (200c) and sends a remote access request over a multimedia service network to a home multimedia gateway (202b) in the opposite local network (202) for a connection to a second device (202c) therein. The home multimedia gateway then responds with communication parameters established for the second device in a residential gateway, and the remote control device can then order the first device to execute a multimedia session with the second device by using said communication parameters. This solution enables a remote control device visiting a local network to order a device in that network to fetch media content from a device in another home network, or vice versa.

    • In a communication system (1), a header comprising information, preferably being related with a device-type associated commitment, is additionally provided with a signature for that information. The signature guarantees the authenticity of the header information. The signature is tamper-resistantly created in a first device (20), preferably based on at least tamper-resistant device-type specific information of the first device (20). The header information and the signature are communicated to a content provider (10), where the signature is verified before accepting the device-type associated commitment to be valid. Such signatures can preferably be used in systems using HTTP or SMTP.
