摘要： A system is provided for providing location-specific images to a mobile device for display. The system generally comprises three components: a mobile device (20a, 20b, 20c) having a screen, a position identification system (e.g., a GPS receiver) that determines the position of the mobile device, and a database (43) containing location-specific images taken at various locations. Each location-specific image is associated with geographic coordinates of the location at which the image was taken. Based on the position of the mobile device as determined by the position identification system, a location-specific image is selected from the database and displayed on th screen of the mobile device. For example, when a user is using the mobile device as a car navigation system, a location-specific image of the user's destination location can be selected and displayed when the determined position of the mobile device comes within a certain distance from the geographic coordinates of the destination location.

摘要： Techniques for augmenting an image of an object captured and displayed in real time with associated content are disclosed. In one embodiment, the method for augmenting the image includes receiving information defining a sampled frame of a video being captured by an electronic device in substantially real time, determining information representative of an object captured in the sampled frame based on the received information, causing the determined information to match stored information defining a plurality of items to locate an item matched to the captured object, retrieving content associated with the matched item, and providing the retrieved content for display with the captured image on the electronic device. The retrieved content may be rendered in an overlay element that overlays the captured image displayed on the electronic device. The rendered content is configured to enable a user to interact with the content.

摘要： Content can be located for items that are stylistically similar to an item of interest. The item of interest can be represented in a query image, which is analyzed to determine one or more regions having an item represented therein. The classification of the item is determined, enabling identification of a trained model to be used to process image data for the region(s) of the query image. The trained model outputs a set of attributes, relating to visual or stylistic attributes, and corresponding confidence or prominence values for the attributes. These attributes and values can be compared against a data repository to locate items determined to be similar based on corresponding attributes and values. A similarity determination algorithm can identify similar items and rank those items by similarity. Content for the most similar items is returned as a result for the query image.
