摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible sign pole in which a pole is mounted in a base more stably and continuously.SOLUTION: At the lower end of the pole, a protruded portion is provided which is protruded outward. A base 5 has a supporting face for supporting the lower end of the pole. The supporting face is formed with a first recessed portion 55 into which the protruded portion of the pole 2 is downward inserted and a second recessed portion which extends from the first recessed portion 55 in the peripheral direction so that the protruded portion can enter thereinto. Into the first recessed portion 55 of the base 5 into the second recessed portion of which the protruded portion of the pole enters, an inset member 6 is inset. The inset member 6 prevents the entry of the protruded portion into the first recessed portion 55, so that the pole is stably mounted in the base 5 without being pulled out thereof.

The column body is provided with a plate part, an intermediate part which extends from the lower end of the plate part and gradually forms into a cylinder as going down, and a cylindrical bottom which extends downward from the intermediate part and to be fixed to the base. The plate part, the intermediate part, and the bottom are formed of one component. Since the intermediate part is disposed between the plate part and the bottom, and since the plate part, the intermediate part, and the bottom are formed of one component, a concentrated force is hardly applied between the plate part and the bottom when an external force is applied to the plate part resulting from a contact with a vehicle or the like. Consequently, damage to the column body is suppressed.

Since the ring-like fixing members are externally fitted into the beam, large-scale facility is unnecessary to fix the beam on the columnar body, and this sign pole can be manufactured by a simple tool and simple work. In addition, even if the fixed beam and fixing members come off from each other due to deterioration with age of the installed pedestrian crossing preventive sign pole, it is possible to visually confirm the coming-off of the fixing members from the beam easily so that proper countermeasure such as their replacement can be early taken.
