    • PURPOSE: To provide engaging friction surfaces of the minimum number by providing a female connection member having a cavity and a through opening, arranging one end of a male connection member inside the cavity, fixing a bearing ring assembly to a tip portion, arranging a spherical member in a hole of an end portion of the male connection member, and fitting and fixing other end portions to each other. CONSTITUTION: A first female connection member 20 is fixed to a center base part 12, and first side wall portions 26, 28 having a first cavity portion 14 and an opening are provided. A first end portion 38 of a first male connection member 40 is rotatable in the first cavity 14, and a first spherical member 46 is inserted in a first hole portion 44. Shaft members 48, 50 of the first spherical member 46 are arranged in the opening of the first female connection member 20. In addition, a first bearing ring assembly 56 is fixed to the first end portion 38. A slackless drawbar assembly 10 is provided with a second female connection member which is a mirror image of the first female connection member 20, and both second end portions of the first and second male connection members are connected and fixed to each other. The number of engaging friction surfaces can thus be minimized.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate maintenance and inspection by forming a guide hole at the tip of the one of couplers to engage a slider with the guide hole and coupling through the other coupler and slider. CONSTITUTION:The coupling device for a small electric locomotive for an industrial use is provided with frames 3 for containing respective buffers 2 located at the end parts of car bodies 1 and 12. The buffer 2 has two ends nipped between two end plates 4 and a coupling rod 5 is extended therethrough and fixed by means of a nut 6 to contain the buffer in the frame 3. Couplers 23 and 25 are connected to a pair of the respective coupling rods 5. However, in this case, a guide hole (square hole) 24 is formed in the one coupler 23 and meanwhile, the coupler 25 corresponding to the coupler 23 has a tip formed in the shape of a fork and a pin hole 26 is formed. After the root sides of the couplers 23 and 25 are coupled to the car bodies 1 and 12 by means of pins 11, the couplers 23 and 25 are intercoupled by the method that a slider 27 inserted in the guide hole 24 is inserted in the fork part of the tip of the car body couplers 25 and a pin 28 is engaged internally of the guide hole for coupling.
