摘要： A container for holding a plurality of explosive cartridges has a base over which fits a cover. The base has an upper face and is formed with a plurality of recesses each having a shape generally complementary to that of one of the cartridges but formed along its full height with an extension. Each of these recesses and its extension opens only at the respective face so that a cartridge fitted in any one of the recesses can be aired via the respective extension at the upper face of the base. The cover has a lower face juxtaposable with the upper face and formed with a ridge that normally spaces these faces apart. This cover has a skirt engaging down around the base and formed with at least one groove extending through the ridge to the upper face so that the space between these faces is open to the outside through this groove.

摘要： Improved methods and apparatus are provided for pumping thickened slurry or liquid blasting agents through confining conduits for blasting geologic formations. Thickened slurry and liquid blasting agents are prepared containing gelling or thickening agents which produce thickened solutions having thixotropic properties. Increased shear is applied to the thickened blasting agents, e.g. they are kneaded, such as for example, in a pumper truck having means for mechanically disturbing the explosive, to temporarily produce a more flowable composition which is pumpable. The explosive is then immediately pumped into position, e.g. boreholes, wells. Upon standing under ambient conditions the blasting agent becomes more viscous thus providing the necessary properties of water resistance and settling stability.

摘要： A magazine (1) for a tank or similar houses a number of shells (2, 2') which are each placed in their own respective double-walled holder (3, 3'). The double walls in each holder are designed so that a slot-like space is formed. This slot-like space is filled with fluid. One or more parts (1b, 1c) of the magazine are arranged to blow off under a pressure that assumes a value that exceeds a predetermined value. When a projectile (4) hits a holder (3') with a shell (2') laying inside it, the holder wall is destroyed and the fluid (5) can flow out and inhibit any flame resulting from the hit. The high pressure from the hit and/or the explosion of the shell (2') causes the blow-off parts (1b and 1c) to detach. In such a way, the impact of a direct hit is reduced significantly.
