    • PURPOSE: To recover advantageously components in a catalyst containing a specific rare earth compound in decarbonating a benzenemonocarboxylic acid in the liquid phase oxidatively in the presence of the catalyst containing the specific rare earth compound to prepare a phenol, by bringing the reaction product after separating the above-mentioned phenolic compound into contact with water.
      CONSTITUTION: In decarbonating a benzenemonocarboxylic acid, a salt, ester or anhydride thereof in the liquid phase in the presence of a catalyst consisting of a copper compound, a manganese compound and a rare earth compound to prepare a phenol, the resultant reaction product after separating the above-mentioned phenolic compound is (A) dissolved in a water-insoluble organic solvent capable of dissolving tarry components, e.g. toluene, and then brought into contact with a small amount of water to precipitate and recover the above-mentioned components in the catalyst, preferably the rare earth compound, as a hydrate, or (B) brought into contact with a large amount of water without using the organic solvent to extract the components other than the tar into the aqueous layer. The tarry components are separated and removed from the reaction product by either one of the above-mentioned methods to recover advantageously the components in the catalyst, preferably the expensive rare earth compound.

    • 目的:在含有特定的稀土类化合物的催化剂中,在含有特定稀土类化合物的催化剂存在下,在液相中氧化苯甲酸中的组分,有利地回收组分,制备苯酚,通过使分离后的反应产物 上述酚类化合物与水接触。 构成:在由铜化合物,锰化合物和稀土化合物组成的催化剂存在下,在液相中将苯三羧酸,其盐,酯或酸酐脱碳以制备苯酚,分离后得到的反应产物 上述酚类化合物是(A)溶于能溶解焦油成分的水不溶性有机溶剂中, 甲苯,然后与少量的水接触以沉淀并回收催化剂中的上述组分,优选稀土化合物作为水合物,或(B)与大量的水接触而没有 使用有机溶剂将除焦油之外的组分萃取到水层中。 通过上述任一种方法将焦油组分从反应产物中分离并除去,以有利地回收催化剂中的组分,优选昂贵的稀土化合物。
