摘要： 1351348 Expanding vermiculite TAKEDA YAKUHIN KOGYO KK 14 July 1971 [14 July 1970] 33044/71 Heading C1A Vermiculite or a mixture of vermiculite with molecules and/or ions which are capable in infiltrating into the lamellae of vermiculite is expanded by exposure to electromagnetic radiation of frequency 10 6 to 10 13 cycles per second. The molecules may be polar, e.g. H 2 O, H 2 O 2 , urea, thiourea, NH 2 CONH 2 -H 2 O complex or KH 2 PO 4 -H 2 O 2 complex and the ions may be cations, e.g. Cu(NH 3 ) 4 2+ . The vermiculite may be first cation exchanged with, e.g. Na + , Li + , CO 2+ or NH 4 + or may be dyed before during or after expansion with, e.g. 4,4 1 ,4 11 - triamino triphenylcarbinol, 1,4-diaminoanthraquinone 4,4 1 - methylene bis - 2 - chloroaniline or cupric nitrate, many other dyes being specified. In the examples radiation of frequency 2450 MHz is used to expand vermiculite alone or in admixture with one or more of water, urea, hydrogen peroxide, thiourea, CO(NH 2 ) 2 H 2 O 2 , dehydropyrrole, ethylene diamine, toluene diisocyanate, ethylene glycol, glycerine, polyethylene glycol, polyoxypropylene, KH 2 PO 4 - H 2 O 2 , sodium pyrophosphate peroxide, methyl ethyl ketone peroxide, benzoyl peroxide, sodium perborate, tetrahydrofuran, acetonitrile or Na 2 O 2 or to expand vermiculite exchanged with Cu(NHg) 4 2+ , Ca(NH 4 ) 6 2+ , N 1 (NH 3 ) 4 2+ , NH 2 - CyClOC 6 H 10 , NH 3 + , C 13 H 32 NH 3 + , K + , Na + , Ca 2+ , Ba 2+ , Cu 2+ , Ni 2+ , Mn 2+ , Fe 2+ , Fe 3+ , [Al(OH) 2À5 ] 0 À 5+ , Zn 2+ , CO 2+ or cyclo C 4 H 8 NH 2 + .

摘要： Heat-insulating material placed between the inner ceramic pipe and the mantel of a stack, contg. a heat insulator (pref. exfoliated remiculite) and a clay binder contains 60-70 wt. % of the heat insulator, 30-40 wt. % of the binder and 1-2 wt. % of randomly distributed mineral fibres. (pref. glass fibres opt. with a synthetic resin coating) having a length of 10-30 mm (pref. 15-25 esp. 20mm) and a thickness of 5-20 mu (pref. 10 mu). The structure of the heat-insulating material is reinforced and not damaged by mechanical stresses caused by thermal fluctuations. The resin coating protects the fibres against attack by alkali.

摘要： Fireproof, lightweight insulating plate prodn. from expanded perlite mixed with an additional, lightweight, refractory, mineral insulating material and a water-glass base binder, moulded under press and dried at an elevated temp. is improved in that a 70:30 (by wt.) mixt of expanded perlite and kieselguhr is used as a filler (the grain size of the perlite being 0-5 mm. and that of kieselguhr 10-20 mu; both materials having a bulk density of 85-95 kg/m3, pref. 90 kg/m3); the perlite is moistened by water mist or steam, then mixed with the kieselguhr and sprayed (in free fall) with water-glass soln. having a viscosity of 160-200 cP, pref. 180 cP (37/40 PE Sperzial: RTM) the filler: binder ratio being 1:1.5 to 1:2. The mixt. is subsequently moulded under press. and dried at an elevated temp. Prodts of improved structure, strength and fire resistance (>=1600 degrees C) are produced with a ready-to-use commercial binder; the bulk density of the plates is lower than that of known similar prods., whilst the heat and sound-insulation is improved.
