    • A carrier (10) for coiled filaments comprises a longitudinal base (12) having a first end (14) including a reinforced edge (16), a second end (24), and a first ledge (28) opposite a second ledge (30). There is a raised platform (26) between the first ledge and the second ledge. The raised platform has a first row of projections (32) extending above the raised platform adjacent to the first ledge of the base. A second row of projections (38) extends above the platform adjacent to the second ledge of the base, in parallel relationship to the first row of projections. The raised platform accommodates a plurality of rectangular envelopes (44) each sized to mount in overlapping relationship between the first row of projections and the second row of projections. Each envelope contains a filament (54) so that the ends of the filament extend out of the envelope from openings in the corners of the envelope. A first rail (58) of resilient material mounted on the first ledge includes a plurality of slits (62) each to receive one end of a filament. The carrier includes a second rail (60) of resilient material mounted on the second ledge. The second rail includes a plurality of slots (64) each to receive the other end of a filament contained inside an envelope.

    • A special process for manufacturing easily portable and multi-layered adhesive tape (290) is described. The easily portable and multi-layered adhesive tape (290) is formed by compressing the adhesive tape (200a) having circular shape or other shapes. The adhesive tape (200a) is compressed and cohered during the compressing step. A stiff interfacial layer (296), for example, having adhesion by adhering two innermost adhesive surfaces, by providing a stronger adhesion material, by inserting a stiff and solid material, or a stiff and solid material coated with a strong adhesion material, is applied to the symmetry plane of the adhesive tape (200a) during the compressing step. The high adhesion material layer (294) is preferably composed of materials having a high cross-linking density property, for example, a series of rapidly curing materials, such as cyanoacrylate adhesives or epoxy adhesives.
