摘要： A push button shift control for a bicycle and the like is provided and consists of a plurality of push buttons extending upwardly through top of a housing to be clamped typically onto a downtube of the bicycle. A locking mechanism keeps each of the push buttons in a down position when each of the push buttons is pushed in sequence to move a control cable a predetermined distance to operate gears of the bicycle. A releasing mechanism releases the push buttons so that the push buttons and the control cable can return to their previous positions.

摘要： When with the manual operation device of this invention, a selected one of many push buttons provided for a cassette tape recorder is depressed, then an insertable actuating member lying below that depressed push button is brought down between a common transmission member and an operation member corresponding to the insertable actuating member, causing the transmission member to be previously rotated slightly in a direction opposite to that in which said transmission member is subsequently rotated for actuation. The slight previous rotation of the transmission member in said opposite direction disengages an engagement member from a large gear. As a result, the large gear is slightly rotated by the elastic force of one of the fixed contacts of a leaf switch to be engaged with a pinion. As a result, the leaf switch is actuated to drive a motor, which in turn rotates the pinion to drive the large gear. The common transmission member is rotated with the large gear to move the operation member to a prescribed position by means of the insertable actuating member, thereby causing a cassette tape recorder to be operated for a selected mode of play, record, fast forward, rewind or stop.

摘要： In a magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus having a plurality of push-buttons for directing changeover of tape drive modes, a simple and compact mechanism for effecting mode changeover including an idler, a reciprocating member, sliding actuating bars and an alternative-selection mechanism, all operated by the motive force from a motor-driven capstan. The idler is mounted for movement into and out of contact with a wheel mounted for rotation with the capstan and the reciprocating member moves responsive to the movement of the idler. The idler can be carried to a position spaced from the capstan wheel by the movement of the reciprocating member. Actuating bars, one associated with each push-button, are engaged and disengaged with the reciprocating member by an alternative selection mechanism. By manually depressing one of the push-buttons, the idler is brought into contact with the capstan wheel, and the corresponding actuating bar is brought into engagement with the reciprocating member, thus effecting the selected mode changeover.

摘要： An interconnector for connecting the latch bars of two or more pushbutton assemblies, particularly as used in telephones. The interconnector is connected to each latch bar and is resiliently urged to a position in which it moves the latch bars to their normal -latching-position. Actuation of any pushbutton, in any row of pushbuttons moves directly its related latch-bar and indirectly via the interconnector all other latch-bars. Thus actuation of any pushbutton will release any other previously actuated and latched pushbutton, irrespective of which row of pushbuttons the previously actuated pushbutton is in. The interconnector comprises an extension on one end of each latchbar, a rod engaging in a formation in each extension, a member pivotally mounted in a frame and carrying the rod, and a spring acting on the pivotally mounted member.
