    • A holding fastener 1 comprising a shank 3 adapted to be inserted into a mounting hole of an attachment member. The holding fastener having a first holding portion 5 disposed at one end of the shank and adapted to extend radially and outward from the mounting hole of the attachment member to engage and hold one surface of the attachment member, and a second holding portion 6 disposed at the other end of the shank and adapted to engage and hold the other surface of the attachment member. The second holding portion 6 includes a holding piece 9 connected to the shank 3 through a hinge 7 to allow the holding piece to be pivoted or rotated between an insertion position extending along the axis of the shank and a holding position extending orthogonal to the axis of the shank. An insertion tube 15 is provided at the one end of the shank. The insertion tube 15 is adapted to be inserted axially into a hollow portion of the shank from the side of the first holding portion to the side of the second holding portion. The holding piece 9 and the insertion tube 15 are cooperatively formed so that the end of the insertion tube inserted into the hollow portion of the shank allows the holding piece to be rotated from the insertion position to the holding position to be locked in the holding position.

    • A holding fastener 1 comprising a shank 3 adapted to be inserted into a mounting hole of an attachment member.     • A releasable locking device comprises a tubular housing (180) having a pair of rotary pawls (182) mounted therein. The angular position of the pawls are controlled by spring-loaded balls (183). A line (179) passing through the housing has a collar (184) thereon which latches with the pawls when the collar is brought into engagement therewith, the pawls being rotated so that the balls then bear on adjoining surfaces of the pawls. When the line is subsequently slackened the balls (183) act on the pawls to rotate them further into the housing so that on subsequent engagement by the collar (184), they are free to rotate so as to allow the collar to pass through the housing. This system provides an automatic latching of the line (179) followed by automatic disengagement of the latch simply by releasing tension in the line followed by reapplying such tension. Therefore latching and unlatching can be effected simply from a position remote from the latching mechanism.

    • A locking device is disclosed for locking a brace having an opening therethrough, which comprises a bar member adapted to extend through the opening having a groove defined therein at a spaced location from a front end of the bar member which is insertable into the brace opening. A stopping piece is rotatably mounted in the groove having a hook or abutment portion at the front end thereof engageable with a front side of the groove to limit a rotation of the stopping piece in one direction, and engaging stop and projection portions at a rear end of the stopping piece. A vertical surface is defined on the engaging stop portion for abutting the brace, to lock the brace on the bar member. The projecting portion is provided to prevent an overrotation of the stopping piece.
