摘要： A surgeon's eye shield comprising a thin transparent flexible member (12') having an upper flat edge (14'), a pair of spaced convex edges spaced apart forming a pair of spaced planar portions. The planar portions being joined by a narrowed webbed portion extending integrally between the planar portions. A flexible sealing member (24') extends along the flat edge of the flexible member and a second flexible sealing member (26') extends along the convex edges and a concave edge of the flexible member. An elongated band (32') connected between distal ends of the flexible member attaches the flexible member in an arcuate shape around the head with the spaced planar portions located above and covering the eyes and the narrowed web portion extending transversely across the nose. The sealing members contact and seal against the body portion around the eyes along the length of the seal members to prevent entry of contaminants into the wearer's eyes.

摘要： A one-piece chinstrap-napestrap assembly (36) for a helmet (20) in which a pair of napestraps (42, 44) secured to the nape portion of the helmet interior at laterally spaced locations extend around the lower periphery of the helmet, crossing each other, and pass outwardly through slots (76, 78) formed in the front of the helmet to receive the ends of an adjustable chinstrap (40). Adjustment of the chinstrap (40) at the front of the assembly produces a simultaneous adjustment of the crossing napestrap portions at the rear of the assembly without the necessity for independent adjustment of the latter strap portions. A padded napestrap retainer (38) secured by straps (68, 70) to the same locations on the nape portion of the helmet is formed with intersecting passages (P1, P2) for receiving the crossing strap portions. The retainer (38) reduces chafing and urges the crossing napestrap portions toward the rear of the helmet (22) when the chinstrap (40) is released to facilitate donning and doffing.
