    • An optical velocity measuring device is provided to reduce the size of a measuring sensor by employing an LDV probe for changing beam focus and to measure the boundary layer velocity and the shear stress of a surface by using one sensor. An optical velocity measuring device comprises a beam generating unit(230), a spectroscopic unit(250), a focusing lens(210), a variable focus implementation unit, a light receiving lens(220), and a computing unit. The beam generating unit generates a laser beam. The spectroscopic unit divides the laser beam into plural light sources and has a reflector(251) which reflects some of the light sources to change the path. The focusing lens having a liquid lens collects the divided light sources and focuses the light source to a certain part to measure velocity. The variable focus implementation unit changes the spherical surface of the focusing lens to adjust focal distance. The light receiving lens receives and collects scattered lights of the focused laser. The computing unit computes the velocity by using the collected scattered lights.
