摘要： A carriage is reciprocately movable along the length of a pair of eversion tubes which carry pantyhose legs in an everted condition. The carriage carries two pairs of grippers which are engageable over each pantyhose leg and on side fingers on each tube. The grippers are brought to a partially closed position where they do not touch the fabric while the carriage is slowly moved along the tubes to scan the exterior of the fabric. A detection point is provided on the fabric which is detectable by a probe that operates a mechanism for fully closing the grippers. Further movement of the carriage with the grippers closed causes sliding of the fabric on the tubes. Even with the detection points misaligned on the tubes, the grippers will close at the appropriate instant to concurrently bring both legs of the pantyhose to the ends of the tubes.

The apparatus includes an attachment to be used in conjunction with a Line Closer in which the latter makes the panty portion of the panty hose in the usual way from the welt portions of a pair of hosiery blanks having open welt, leg and open toe foot portions and in which the attachment then automatically transfers the hosiery blanks from the Line Closer to itself and sews closed the open toes of the foot portions to make the panty hose.

When advancing the receiving board 40 in the arrow direction (F), the stocking (H) will fall on the predetermined position on the piling board 51 under horizontal state while guiding one side through guide rods 53b, 53c, 53d.

摘要： A method and related apparatus for assembling a fabric strip to a knitted article. The method includes the steps of loading a knitted article onto a loading form, wrapping at least an end portion of the knitted article so that an open end thereof is accessible, loading a fabric strip onto loading members, and wrapping it thereon so that a first welt is accessible. Additionally, the method includes mutually positioning the loading form and the loading members by aligning the loading form with respect to the loading members, introducing the loading form into an inner space of the loading members so that the fabric strip surrounds outside the end portion of the knitted article, and letting the first welt overlap and match the open border.
