    • A vehicle heating apparatus (100A) of the present disclosure is a heating apparatus to be mounted on a vehicle seat (11) at a position below a sitting portion (S) of the vehicle seat (11). The vehicle heating apparatus (100A) includes: a housing (10) having an intake port (2), a blowing port (3), and an internal space (4) serving as a flow path of air from the intake port (2) to the blowing port (3); a fan (6) provided in the internal space (4); a heater (7) provided in the internal space (4); and a mounting structure (8) adapted to mount the housing (10) to the vehicle seat (11) in such a manner that the housing (10) is movable in a width direction of the vehicle seat (11). Therefore, the vehicle heating apparatus (100A) of the present disclosure is highly convenient for occupants.

    • An evaporatively pre-cooled seat assembly comprising a seat cushion, an auxiliary cooler, and an evaporative cooler. The evaporative cooler includes a plurality of parallel tubular dry channels and a plurality of tubular wet channels. The dry channels and wet channels are arranged such that they alternate from dry channel to wet channel from channel to channel. Each of the channels is defined by two parallel side walls, a top, and a bottom. A first plurality of dry channels defines a plurality of apertures in the side walls thereof for conveying air out of the respective dry channel and into an adjacent wet channel. A second plurality of dry channels alternates with the first plurality and is disposed between two wet channels and defines a plurality of cooler apertures in the tops thereof for conveying cooled air out of the second plurality of alternating dry channels and to the auxiliary cooler.

    • A seat structure such as a vehicle seat or a portable pad capable of being placed upon a seat structure including a heat pipe assembly having an elevated portion responsive to body heat of an occupant in the area where the body engages the seat or pad thereby heating and cycling a volatile fluid in the heat pipe to the elevated portion which is in thermal communication with the ambient environment for continuously cooling the seat or pad area engaged by the occupant. A selectively energized heater can be disposed within or near the volatile fluid for activating the heat pipe cycle and continuously warming the body engaged surfaces of the seat or pad as desired. The heat pipe can be formed as an integral part of the pad or the seat structure by incorporating a sealed impermeable plastic passage containing the appropriate volatile fluid.
