    • A filter device for a screw extruder for the handling of molten plastic comprising a filter housing having inlet and outlet bores and a slide displaceable in the housing transverse to the direction of the flow of the melt. At least one recess in the slide forms a portion of a melt channel and receives a screen member. In order to obtain uniform distribution of the flow of melt in the filter device and of the pressure forces acting on the filter surface, the recess is formed by an annular milling which is surrounded by a replaceable cylindrical screen member. A flow passage in the slide extends from the melt channel to the outlet bore.

    • A cylindrical back washing purification apparatus comprises a main body (1), a cylindrical through hole (2) transversely provided in the main body (1), a plunger (4) slidably connected in the axial direction arranged in the through hole (2), a feed channel (6) and a discharge channel (8) connected with the through hole (2) on the main body (1).     • A backflushable filtering apparatus for a molten material, particularly for a plastic melt, comprises a housing (1) in which a sieving arrangement (17) is provided which includes at least two sieving sections (16) separated from one another. The melt to be filtered is supplied to the sieving sections (16) through at least one distributor (3). The distributor (3) includes at least one control body (9) for backflushing which is moveable within a housing (53) that is provided with an inlet opening (4) for the material to be filtered. The control body (9), in a filtering position, unblocks the influx of material to be filtered to all sieving sections (16) through connection channels (23). However, in a backflushing position, the control body (9) interrupts the influx of material to the filtering section (16) to be backflushed and interconnects the connection channel (23) of the sieving section (16) flushed back with a discharge channel (28) located in the control body (9). At least the majority of the circumference of the control body (9) is surrounded by a distribution space (7) for the material to be filtered which is situated within its housing (53). The distribution space (7) is connectable through the connection channels (23) to all sieving sections (16) in communication with the distributor (3). Guiding channels (6) lead from the inlet opening (4) to the regions of the two front ends (61, 62) of the distribution space (7). These front ends (61, 62) are situated in the region of the outermost connection channels (23) or outside the region of all connection channels (23). The discharge channel (28), which leads away from the control body (9), may be caused to communicate with the connection channel (23) of the respective sieving section (16) to be flushed back through a flush back channel (27) of at least one cross-piece (14) of the control body (9) which overbridges the distribution space (7).

    • A backwashable filtering device for thermoplastic plastics material comprises a housing (1) in which at least one feed channel (2) is provided for the material to be filtered and at least one delivery channel (3) is provided for the filtered material. At least one carrying body (4) is arranged in the housing, carries at least two nests of screens (8, 9) and is displaceable in the housing between a filtering position and at least one backwashing position. In the filtering position, distribution chambers (14, 15) arranged on the inflow side of the nests of screens (8, 9) are fluidically connected to at least one feed channel (2), and collecting chambers arranged on the outflow side of the nests of screens (8, 9) are fluidically connected to at least one delivery channel (3). In the backwashing position of the carrying body (4), filtered material passes from the collecting chamber (16, 17) of one nest of screens (8, 9), through a backwashing channel (23) arranged in the carrying body (4) and into the collecting chamber (16, 17) of another nest of screens (8, 9) to be cleaned. When the outflow channel of this other nest of screens (8, 9) is closed, this filtered material is discharged together with the impurities from the backwashed nest of screens into a backwashing outlet channel (38) via the distribution chamber. At least one control body (31), which is displaceable in the housing (1) relative to the carrying body (4), is associated with each nest of screens (8, 9) for the backwashing of this nest of screens (8, 9) portion by portion. Each control body (31) forms a discharge channel (36) which, in the backwashing position, is fluidically connected to at least one backwashing outlet channel (38) via at least one control opening (37).
