摘要： An injection unit for an injection molding machine includes a plasticizing unit in the form of an extruder, a plunger-type injection device, which can be connected to the injection molding machine by an injection nozzle. The plunger-type injection device defines an injection space. The extruder has a forward portion which is connected to the injection space by a melt through channel in which a shutoff valve is disposed. The extruder is operated continuously and includes one or more plasticizing screws, wherein the extruder is configured in such a way that the backup length can expand backwards into the extruder, when the shutoff valve is closed.

The transitioning passage has an innermost turning side and an opposite outermost turning side longer than the innermost turning side. The transitioning passage includes at least two turning corners of obtuse angle at the outermost turning side and adjacent to the horizontal channel and the vertical channel, respectively. The transitioning passage further includes a tapered passage section which tapers toward the vertical channel, and a wall part which partially Ago confines the tapered passage section at the outermost turning side. The wall part has a shape conforming to a segment of a truncated cone-shaped face which extends angularly by an angle of less than 360 degrees.

摘要： In an injection molding machine for thermoplastic resin, a mold clamping hydraulic circuit is constituted as a hydraulic circuit which can be optionally set to a pressure-free or substantially pressure-free state upon completion of closure of a mold mounted to a clamping unit. A movable mold of the clamping unit can be retracted with a low injection pressure by injecting the molten resin via an injection unit. A nozzle port opening to a space of a mold cavity is closed simultaneously with completion of the charge of predetermined amount of resin, and a mold clamping force at a high pressure is generated on the forward side of the mold clamping unit, thereby producing mold clamping at a predetermined position. Since the mold is in a pressure-free or substantially pressure-free state, the injection pressure may also be low. Accordingly, a resin injection amount for a single shot can be increased by several times without increasing the pressure of a hydraulic cylinder of an injection unit and, further, molded articles several times in size can be molded without increasing the mold clamping force of the clamping unit.

摘要： A screw-in-plunger injection apparatus is provided which is advantageously used for molding either a large-size or a small-size product. The injection apparatus is capable of selectively carrying out a plunger-type injection operation and an inline-screw-type injection operation. In the plunger-type injection operation, an injection plunger 12 and a screw 10 are advanced in an injection cylinder 14, so that a melted resin fed to a storage space provided on the side of one axial end of the injection plunger 12 is injected. In the inline-screw-type injection operation, a surface of the axial end of the injection plunger 12 is held in abutment with the injection cylinder 14, so that the storage space is reduced to provide a reduced storage space to and from which the melted resin is fed by the rotation of the screw and is injected by the movement of the screw in an axial direction thereof.
