摘要： The elevation and angle of a desk top are independently adjustable with the exertion of a minimum of manual force, thereby facilitating the use of the desk by handicapped or disabled persons. The desk is provided with a torsion bar to substantially ease elevational adjustments and with a parallel lever arm construction which permits such adjustments without changing the angle of the desk top. The height and tilt angle of the desk top are each securely fixed by means of a pair of serrated, interlocking discs which are spring loaded to permit them to be easily locked or unlocked with only a few turns of an adjustment handle. In addition, frictional washers are utilized in conjunction with this spring loading to substantially maintain the position of the desk top even after the discs are unlocked, further facilitating angular and elevational adjustments by persons of impaired physical strength. The desk is designed and suitably dimensioned to accommodate a wheel chair, and the desk top is provided with a removable clamp and a raised peripheral edge to prevent books, paper, writing utensils and the like from falling off.

The arm is supported so as to be movable upward and downward relative to the attachment part such that the table body can be lowered from an in-use position located above a user's knees to a not in-use position located in front of and below the knees while the user sits in the wheelchair. With this wheelchair table, operability and safety during wheelchair travel can be enhanced while favorably maintaining the function as a table.

摘要： A support structure for establishing a computer workstation around a chair, such as an easy chair or wheelchair. The support structure includes a flat base having a plurality of vertical posts projecting upwardly therefrom. Two of the posts have swing arms terminating in additional swing arms. An inclinably adjustable support platform is disposed above each final swing arm. Either support arm may optionally have a drawer and a clip for retaining papers. The compound swing arms enable the platform to be adjusted to any desired proximity to the post, within a range. The working surfaces of each support platform can be inclined, and the height of each support platform can be adjusted. The support structure has optional auxiliary features including a cup holder, a pencil tray, storage shelves and a filing cabinet, a tabletop having a drawer and a cover panel depending therefrom, for concealing power and communication cables, power cables disposed within the posts, a power supply, an exposed power jack connected to said second power cable, and an auxiliary support for supporting a speaker thereatop. One alternative embodiment includes a motor and a mechanical linkage for adjusting swing arm position.

摘要： An adjustable, sturdy upper body support system for keyboard operators includes a pair of adjustable arm rests mounted on a rigid frame which can be incorporated into a standalone system or into a desk workstation system. In either embodiment, the frame includes a portion extending forward under the arm rests to prevent the device from tipping. The arm rests can be pivoted about two axes relative to a U-shaped frame slidable within a primary frame underneath a keyboard platform. The standalone version includes outwardly diverging feet for added maneuverability and can be positioned underneath an existing desk. In one version, the upper body support is mounted to a height adjustable desk workstation. Another combined upper body support and desk system includes a height adjustable desk positionable with respect to the arm rests.
