In the dye-setting of a continuous length of cloth by passage through a high pressure steaming chamber, the inlet and outlet sealing means each comprise an adjacent pair of soft rubber rolls 1, a spaced pair of hard rubber rolls 7, a drum 14 having a slit (22, Fig. 2) through which the cloth passes, and a pair of sealing plates 19 each having an orifice through which an end of the drum passes. Rolls 1 and 7 are water-cooled: Wear between rolls 7 and drum 14 is prevented by lubricating sealing pieces (12) set in grooves in the drum. Similarly, the rolls have wear-resistant surfaces (46, Fig. 7) in contact with the sealing plates. Means are provided for pressing together rolls 1 (Fig. 3) and plates 19 (Fig. 4) and vertically shifting sealing drum 14. The pair of hard rubber rolls may be dispensed with (Fig. 12) or supplemented by a pair of steel rolls. Each sealing means is connected via an orificed flexible membrane to the steaming chamber either directly (Fig. 9) or via one or more air pressure chambers (Fig. 11).

摘要： A method of cleaning the surfaces of guiderolls used in treating and processing cloth is comprised of the steps of attaching lengths of guide cloths, which are provided with wiping surfaces on both sides, to lengths of the cloth being processed so that the guide cloth and the cloth being processed are continuously passed over the guiderolls. Dampening at least one or both of the guide cloth and the guiderolls so that the guiderolls are wiped clean as the guide cloths pass over them. Preferably, the guiderolls are reversed from the normal direction of rotation to assist in the cleaning operation.

摘要： For the continuous wet heat treatment in the processing of a cloth comprising transporting the cloth continuously through a plurality of high pressure steamer bodies having different functions and being connected directly with each other under a saturated water vapor at a relatively low temperature of about 130 DEG C. to subject the cloth to different kinds of treatments therein. A plurality of high pressure steamer bodies, which may have different functions, transport a cloth continuously therethrough, the steamer bodies are composed of universal units arranged transversely, provided respectively with a cloth inlet and a cloth outlet situated at the same level and connected directly with each other by joining the cloth inlet and outlet of the adjacent steamer bodies, and with the cloth inlet and the cloth outlet situated at the opposite ends of the combined steam bodies each having a seal mechanism. A modification involves dividing the high pressure steamer bodies into at least one steamer body for preliminary wet heat treatment of a cloth and two or more steamer bodies for final wet heat treatment thereof, and this arrangement is particularly suitable for dyeing a cloth containing polyester fibers by wet heat treatment to render the surface of the cloth rough by the preliminary wet heat treatment.
