    • An electronic timepiece has a timepiece standard generator, a frequency divider having a resettable terminal, a circuit for controlling an optically displaying device connected to the frequency divider, a circuit for controlling a hand displaying device connected to the frequency divider, a below second linking control circuit for detecting first the content of the frequency divider in response to the operation of either first switch for resetting to zero the digit of second of the optically displaying device or second switch for initiating to act the hand displaying device and for resetting next to zero the digit of second of the optically displaying device and initiating to act the hand displaying device after the time adjustment of the hand displaying device respectively. At the time of detection of a below second linking control circuit, the below second linking control circuit controls to advance by one second on the hand displaying device if the content of the frequency divider is 0.5 seconds and over at the resetting state of second-digit of the optically displaying device and controls to advance by one second on the optically displaying device if the content of the frequency divider is 0.5 seconds and over at the stepping state of the hand displaying device, whereby after the adjustment of either the optically displaying device or the hand displaying device, the time indication of the optically displaying device is linked to the time indication of the hand displaying device within 0.5 seconds.

    • An analogue alarm electronic timepiece has electronic circuitry for controlling the drive of the time-indicating hands by a reversible stepping motor to selectively position the hands at desired alarm time and display time settings. Externally operable switches control the operation of the electronic circuitry and enable re-positioning of the hands by the motor to the previously set alarm time so that the user of the timepiece may confirm the alarm time setting. The electronic circuit includes a first settable memory means for storing the time difference between the alarm time and the present time, and a second settable memory means for storing the time difference between the present time and the display time. First means are provided for detecting coincidences between the alarm time and the present time. Second means are provided for detecting coincidence between the present time and the display time.

    • An electronic timepiece having a stepping motor and a drive circuit responsive to a control signal for applying electrical drive pulses having polarities determined by the control signal for rotating the rotor of the stepping motor. The control circuit normally operates in a mode for applying a control signal to the drive circuit effective to control the drive circuit to apply alternate polarity electrical drive pulses to rotate the stepping motor rotor in a normal direction. Resetting circuitry is operable for correcting the time kept by the timepiece. A detecting circuit detects whether the stepping motor rotor is in a position to be rotated by a forthcoming drive pulse after resetting. If the stepping motor rotor is not in a position for rotation a detection circuit signal is applied to the control circuit so that the control signal controls the drive circuit to apply an electrical pulse effective to rotate the stepping motor rotor after resetting. Consequently, after resetting the immediately forthcoming drive pulse will have a polarity effective to rotate the stepping motor rotor and no time will be lost.
