摘要： As applied to a hands-free lamp carried on the front of the head or helmet, the band (20) passes through the lamp case via open slots. Each of its ends enters a slot in the reel case (26), which comprises two circular plastic mouldings (16a,16b) clipped together, and terminates in a fixing on the reel drum. The two fixings (25a,25b) are at diametrically opposite points. Opt., two reels are fitted, one for each band end. The reel, or reels, are mounted freely on a central fixed axle (30). One end (34) of a spiral spring, similar to a clock spring (32) is retained in a transverse slot (36) in the axle; the other (38) is attached to the inner surface of the reel drum. The spring tends to resist any attempt to pull either band end out of the case. With the flat back of the lamp placed on the front of the head, and the face of the reel case on the rear, the assembly is firmly held on the head by the spring's retractive effort.

The thigh straps are are made in one piece from a synthetic fabric with a foam stuffing. The thigh straps are in the form of fixed or adjustable spirals cut out in one flat piece with the central section and then shaped.

摘要： The torch comprises a moulded body (11) which is closed (57) at one end and which holds two end-to-end pairs of dry cells (12A-D), interconnected (58,60) within the body, giving four in series. Positive and negative terminals rest against metal contacts (46,42) beneath a tub-shaped moulding (14) within the lens (24) is screwed on this skirt, securing the reflector (22) and the tub (14). The bulb (18) holder is connected to the positive and negative battery contacts (46,42), contact pressure being increased (58,60) as the cap is screwed up. The final movement of the cap depresses a sprung lever (52) whose projecting nib passes through a hole in the contact (42), depressing the cells below and breaking the lamp circuit. The bulb and the connection circuit (16) are fitted on a lens (14) inserted in a circular accommodation (62) at the rear of the housing (11) and rotatable between a first rest position allowing access to the first compartment (30) for removal or insertion of the batteries and a second, in-use, position for supplying the bulb with voltage and blocking access to the compartment.
