    • A roller pump comprises a pump housing having a cylindrical inner surface, a rotor fixed to a drive shaft placed at the central portion of the pump housing, rollers provided around the rotor and a driver for driving the drive shaft through a reduction gear. The rollers press an elastic tube installed between the rollers and the inner surface of the pump housing to transfer a liquid in the elastic tube by rotation of the rotor. The pump housing and the reduction gear are integrated into one body and an output shaft of the reduction gear is fixed to the drive shaft of the rotor. A stepping motor is used as the driver. A part of the inner surface of the pump housing is composed of a semicircle, another part of the inner surface is composed of a partial circle of which center is shifted from the center of the semicircle. The inlet and outlet slots are provided with levers for pressing the inlet or outlet portion into the inlet or outlet slot to hold inlet or outlet portion in the inlet or outlet slot respectively.

    • An agitator comprises a main body for supporting rotatably a rotary shaft, a chuck for connecting detachably an agitating rod with the rotary shaft, starting means for starting the rotation of the rotary shaft when the chuck is covered with a chuck cover, and locking means for locking rotary shaft when the chuck is not covered with the chuck cover. The chuck cover is removed from the main body when an external force larger than a predetermined value is applied to the chuck cover. The starting means comprises a permanent magnet provided on the outer periphery of a disk hub and a magnetic sensor provided on the main body so that an output is generated to start the driving source only when the chuck cover is moved to cover the chuck. The locking means comprises a hole formed in the rotary shaft, an eccentric cam to be rotated by the chuck cover, and a lock pin which is moved by the eccentric cam so as to be inserted into the hole of the rotary shaft when the chuck is not covered with the chuck cover. A universal joint comprises a cavity formed in a joint case, a planar plate fitted in the cavity, a spherical member arranged in the cavity so that it is held by a spherical surface receiving seat and a portion of the planar plate, and pressure means for pressing the planar plate toward the spherical surface receiving seat.

    • In a liquid infusion apparatus, an incremental linear encoder is arranged along the feeding shaft direction of the liquid infusion apparatus to directly monitor the movement and position of a carriage part which applies an action to a plunger. A detecting sensor is provided at a starting point of a remaining liquid quantity small region to recognize the absolute position at said region by using feed-back pulses from said encoder. A pressing device for pressing a flange of the plunger to a plunger receiving portion of a slider by holding arms is provided.
