摘要： A shale shaker for separating drilling mud comprises a screening panel (1, fig. 1), a support panel (100, fig. 6) a basket and a shaking mechanism. The panel is formed by taking a rectangular panel and first cutting or punching holes in the panel to form apertures 5, the edges of these apertures 28, 29, 30 are then folded away from the top surface of the panel. The panel has mesh layers adhered to the top surface and the lower surface is provided with a reinforcing panel wherein the reinforcing panel has strip apertures(101, fig. 6), the edges of which (104, fig. 6) are folded upwards and contact the folded down edges of the panel (where these meet, they are welded together). The apertures are preferably triangular, with the folded down edges joined at the ends to respective ends of the adjacent folded edges by interlinking portions. The triangular apertures are arranged in rows 35, 42 such that they form interlinking hexagonal patterns, the centre of said hexagonal patterns having an aperture (59, fig. 2).
