摘要： A puncture closure device operable to seal closed a vessel puncture in a vessel. The puncture closure device includes a delivery member insertable through a tissue tract to the vessel puncture, a sealing material, and an expandable member. The sealing material is deliverable through the delivery member to the vessel puncture and configured to seal closed the vessel puncture from outside the vessel. The expandable member is positionable within the vessel through a vessel access distinct from the vessel puncture and is operable to temporarily seal closed the vessel puncture from within the vessel to restrict passage of the sealing material into the vessel.

摘要： An innerless dilatation balloon catheter uses a balloon 22 which is longitudinally compliant so that it elongates as it is inflated. The catheter 10 includes a valve 30 which is responsive to elongation of the balloon 2 for effectively blocking fluid flow through a lumen extension 24, 26 through which the guide wire 12 passes. The valve 30 allows the guide wire 12 to move freely when the balloon 22 is deflated.

摘要： A catheter includes a segment having a longitudinal axis. The segment includes a polymeric tube having interior and exterior surfaces separated by a wall thickness. The interior surface defines a catheter lumen which extends coaxially with the longitudinal axis. The exterior surface is sized for the tube to be passed through a patient's vasculature system. The segment further includes a substantially straight, flexible guide member disposed within the tube's wall thickness. The guide member has a longitudinal dimension extending parallel to and radially spaced from the segment's axis. The guide member is plastically deformable when bent around a bending axis perpendicular to the longitudinal dimension beyond a bending limit.
