    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure chamber type collision detection device for a vehicle, capable of reliably detecting damage to a chamber member in a simple configuration. SOLUTION: This collision detection device for a vehicle includes a chamber member 7 which is disposed on the front surface of a bumper reinforcement 4 in a vehicle bumper 2 and forms a chamber space 7a therein. In the chamber member, a pressure introduction part 72 extending, in a tubular shape, from a chamber body 71 introduces a pressure from an external space into the chamber space 7a through a pressure introduction port 72a. When the chamber member 7 is normal, the result of the detection of the pressure in the chamber space 7a by a pressure sensor 8 varies according to a vehicle speed. When the chamber member 7 is damaged and a hole communicating with the atmosphere is formed therein, the result of the detection of the pressure in the chamber space 7a by the pressure sensor 8 matches the atmospheric pressure and is kept constant irrespective of the vehicle speed.       SOLUTION: The collision detection device for the vehicle 1 includes: a pressure sensor 8 having the pressure introduction pipe 82 elongating from a sensor body 81; and a chamber member 7 which is arranged on a front surface of a bumper reinforcement 4 in a vehicle bumper 2, is formed with a chamber space 7a inside, and has an opened insertion port 73c to which the pressure introduction pipe 82 can be inserted, and detects a collision with the vehicle bumper 2 based on a detection result of pressure variation inside the chamber space 7a by inserting the pressure introduction pipe 82 into the insertion port 73c. The pressure introduction pipe 82 includes a tapered portion 82T whose outer diameter is enlarged toward the sensor body 81 in a part at the sensor body 81 side. Further, the chamber member 7 is formed of a soft resin. The insertion port 73c is substantially sealed by abutting the tapered portion 82T of the pressure introduction pipe 82 thereto.

A protruded fitting section provided on the inflator is inserted into the fitting hole 15 of the bag 1 and the fitting hole 33 of the closing fabric 3, and the fitting section is protruded to the outside of the bag 1.
