    • PURPOSE: To analyze oxygen contained in an organic substance with high accuracy and with high speed by energizing a carbon crucible before throwing a sample in so as to bring the crucible in a predetermined high temperature state, and throwing the organic substance sample in the high temperature carbon crucible. CONSTITUTION: Before throwing an organic substance sample in a carbon crucible 2 in an extraction furnace 1, the carbon crucible 2 is energized so as to bring the carbon crucible 2 in a predetermined high temperature state, and the organic substance sample is thrown in the high temperature carbon crucible 2. The organic substance sample is heated by energizing, generated gas is led to a gas analyzer 4 so as to measure the concentration of carbon monoxide, and based on the concentration of the carbon monoxide contained in the organic substance sample so as to analyze oxygen contained in the organic substance sample. By this method, the organic substance sample is thrown in the heated carbon crucible 2 so that vaporization components at a low temperature, a middle temperature, and a high temperature are generated approximately simultaneously. The generated vaporization components are thermally decomposed by the high temperature carbon crucible 2, and is further reduced by high temperature carbon so as to become CO surely. A capture rate is thereby heightened so that the measuring accuracy is improved.

    • PURPOSE: To make it possible to perform the simultaneous measurement of the electric resistance of a conductive polymer in the doping state and the optical spectrum by separately providing electrodes comprising two sheets of metal vapor deposition films in the inside of a cell for a spectrophotometer. CONSTITUTION: A measuring cell A is set and used in the optical path of a spectrophotometer 20 and comprises a gas cell 11 for the spectrophotometer and an electrode plate 10 provided in the inside of the cell. At the time of measurement, the electrode plate 10 is arranged in the gas cell 11 after the measurement of the thickness of a polysilane film, and the measuring cell A is set in the optical path of the spectrophotometer 20. Then, three-way valves 13 and 14 are operated, and inactive gas (dry nitrogen), which does not contain dopant (iodine), is continuously introduced into the gas cell 11, and the inside is dried. Then, the three-way valves 12 and 13 are operated, and inactive gas, which contains the dopant, is introduced continuously or intermittently into the gas cell 11, and the doping of the polysilane film of the electrode plate 10 is performed. At the same time, the spectrum of the light passing through the window part of the electrode plate 10 is measured by the spectrophotometer 20, and the conductivity is measured by a conductivity meter 6.
