摘要： Methods of forming a solid ion-conductive electrolyte are described which comprise providing a preformed thermoplastic polymer film, positioning a plurality of solid ion-conductive particles against one surface of the polymer film, positioning a deformable sheet against one surface of the film, positioning a deformable sheet against the particles and the opposite surface of the film, hot pressing the particles into the film and deforming the deformable sheets, cooling the film, and removing the deformed sheets, thereby forming a polymer film having ion-conductive particles exposed on opposite surfaces of the film.

摘要： A thermoplastic polymer composition comprises a combination of: 40 to 60 pbw, of a polyetherimides, polyetherimide sulfones, or combination thereof having a weight average molecular weight from 5,000 to 80,000 Daltons; 40 to 60 pbw of a polyethylene terephthalate, the polyethylene terephthalate having a diethylene glycol content from 0.1 to 4 wt %, based on the weight of the polyethylene terephthalate, an intrinsic viscosity that is more than 0 and less than 0.83 dl/g, and carboxylic acid end groups in an amount from 10 to 150 meq/Kg; from 0 pbw to 1 pbw, based on 100 pbw of the polymer composition of a stabilizer selected from phenol-containing stabilizers, phosphorus-containing stabilizers, or a combination thereof; and, based on the weight of the polyethylene terephthalate, 10 to 300 antimony; 0 to 300 ppm of cobalt; and 0 to 300 ppm of titanium; wherein the polymer composition is bisphenol A free.

When sterilized with a hydrogen peroxide plasma, or hydrogen peroxide vapor, the articles have surprisingly improved resistance to changes in color and clarity as well as resistance to loss of mechanical properties.

摘要： The disclosure relates to a steam stripping process for producing purified polyimides, e.g., polyetherimide homopolymers and polyetherimide copolymers. The process can include contacting an initial polyimide with steam to remove a volatile species from the initial polyimide to produce a purified polyimide. The purified polyimide can have a weight average molecular weight of from 5,000 to 80,000 Daltons. The weight average molecular weight of the purified polyimide can be greater than or equal to 90% of the weight average molecular weight of the initial polyimide. The purified polyimide can have less than 44 ppm of a volatile species, having a molecular weight of less than 250 Daltons. The polyimide can have less than 10 ppm of a metal cation.
