    • Plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) reactors and methods of effecting the same are described. In a preferred implementation, a PECVD reactor includes a processing chamber having a first electrode therewithin. A second electrode is disposed within the chamber and is configured for supporting at least one semiconductor workpiece for processing. A first RF power source delivers RF power of a first frequency to the first electrode. A second RF power source delivers RF power of a second frequency to the second electrode. Preferably the first and second frequencies are different from one another, and even more preferably, the first frequency is greater than the second frequency. The preferred reactor includes a thermocouple which provides temperature information relative to one of the electrodes. According to a preferred implementation, the power loop developed by the first RF power source is grounded interiorly of the chamber in a manner which reduces if not eliminates interference with other reactor components including the thermocouple.

    • The present invention provides a hinged clamp which allows ease in both installing and removing drop-in type food warmers. A warmer well which is placed or dropped into a cut out defined in a counter top includes an outwardly extending flange to support the warmer well on the counter top. A nut provided on the outer surface of the warmer well has a corresponding threaded member which secures a clamping means which includes a body portion and an arm. To secure the warmer well in place, the body portion and arm are positioned away from the warmer well and secured to the nut by the threaded member, which causes the arm to secure against the counter top.

    • An improved process for the preparation of polymer filaments having a high tensile strength and modulus by spinning a solution of high-molecular weight polymer and thereafter stretching the filament thus formed. A solution of an ethylene polymer or copolymer, containing at least 80 percent by weight solvent, is spun at a temperature above the gel point of the solution. The ethylene polymer or copolymer contains at most about 5 percent by weight of an alkene having 3 to 8 carbon atoms, has a weight-average molecular weight Mw higher than 4.times.10.sup.5 kg/kmole, and has a weight/number average molecular weight ratio Mw/Mn lower than 5. The spun polymer solution is thereafter cooled to a temperature below its gel point to form a gel filament, which gel filament is thereafter stretched to form a polymer filament having a tensile strength of at least about 1.5 GPa at room temperature.
