    • A line thermal printer is disclosed in which a plurality of heating elements are subjected to a divided energization process to energize the heating elements by dividing an energization process into a plurality of portions. The line printer includes a controller, including a correction factor table which stores correction factors that have been previously computed using a previously provided exponential functional formula, for performing a controlling operation so that the energization of the heating elements is carried out in accordance with an energization time that has been obtained by a correction factor corresponding to a measured temperature of each of the heating elements, obtained from the correction factor table. The temperature loss caused by dividing the energization process of each of the heating elements, disposed at the line thermal head, is easily and properly corrected.

    • The object of this invention is to make it possible for a light transmitting member to be easily assembled onto a cover member molded from an opaque synthetic resin, and to prevent the constitutive elements from falling even when exposed to a shock. This object is attained by providing a recording medium cartridge device including an optical detection section which is produced after a light transmitting member has been attached to a window which is formed on the front panel of a cover member, or an element, in combination with a base plate molded from an opaque synthetic resin, to form the cartridge body accommodating a recording medium. The cover member has, as integral elements, holding rib walls which run continuously along both lateral edges of the window, inner surface of front panel and a ceiling surface, and which form engaging grooves with the inner surface which are joined with both lateral edges of the light transmitting member, and elasticity retaining rib pieces placed close to the window which press the light transmitting member attached to the window inward to securely hold the latter.

    • A toothbrush for efficiently removing plaque, tartar, and calculus from teeth. The toothbrush includes a grip handle and a crown cap mounted on a distal end of the grip handle. The crown cap is provided with a first tooth fitting portion which includes a pair of walls having curved inner surfaces confronting each other and proximal ends, and a central portion for connecting the pair of walls at the proximal ends. The central portion has a wavy or sinuous inner surface that is continuous with the curved inner surfaces. The curved and wavy inner surfaces have a cross-section of a substantially heart-shape with a lower, opened end, and bristle assemblies are secured on the continuous curved and wavy inner surfaces. The bristle assemblies are elongated and extend at an angle ranging from 30.degree. to 60.degree. with respect to the curved and wavy inner surfaces such that at least one of the bristle assemblies that is secured on one of the curved inner surfaces has a tip end directed toward the wavy inner surface. A second tooth fitting portion having a substantially inverted V-shape could be used on the crown cap, in addition to, or in place of, the first tooth fitting portion. The second tooth fitting portion also includes bristle assemblies which are secured to curved inner surfaces, and extending at angle therefrom.
