    • A Web page is displayed on a display screen of a digital camera. The Web page is composed of an image corresponding to one frame. When a radio button corresponding area is clicked, a http request indicating that the radio button corresponding area is clicked is transmitted from the digital camera to a conversion server. In the conversion server, a Web page in which the clicked radio button corresponding area is marked with a solid circle is generated. A html response representing the generated Web page is transmitted from the conversion server to the digital camera. The Web page in which the clicked radio button corresponding area is marked with a solid circle is displayed on the display screen of the digital camera. The radio button function of the Web page can be substantially utilized.

    • A camera position recognition system includes: multiple cameras removably placed at different positions to be able to photograph a subject from different viewpoints along a horizontal direction; a host device to assign camera identification information to each camera, the camera identification information representing a relative position of each camera; and a marker member placed at a position of the subject and to be photographed by the cameras. The marker member presents different shapes in images photographed by the cameras depending on the position of each camera. The host device acquires the images of the marker member photographed by the cameras and determines the camera identification information based on differences between the shapes of the marker member captured in the images.

    • The present invention provides a camera system including: an imaging unit which has an image-taking optical system and an image pickup device; and a main unit which receives image signals from the imaging unit and performs signal processing. The imaging unit includes an identification section for identifying the main unit. When the imaging unit is attached to the main unit and the power is supplied from the main unit to the imaging unit, the imaging unit issues to the main unit a request for the transmission of the identification code. In response to the request, the main unit sends the identification code to the imaging unit. The identification section of the imaging unit identifies the main unit based on the received identification code.

    • A digital camera connects to a cradle through a signal line. In a first mode, the digital camera in combination with a personal computer forms a transmission path through a USB interface to allow for communication. In a second mode, the digital camera performs an intervening function for communication between a mobile telephone and the personal computer through a short-distance wireless communication interface and the USB interface. In the first mode, image and other data stored in a memory card of the digital camera can be transmitted to the personal computer and image and other data from the personal computer can be transmitted to the digital camera. In the second mode, the digital camera acts as a transmitter-receiver terminal for communication between the personal computer and the mobile telephone. According to this imaging communication system, since the imaging apparatus also serves as a communication adapter, a host communication unit can communicate with any terminal unit other than the imaging apparatus in a wireless manner, with the imaging apparatus connected to the host communication unit for communication.
