    • It is an object of the present invention to provide a digital camera and a portable telephone equipped with a digital camera in which while a user views one monitor screen, the user can selectively photograph an image located in the side of the face of the user and an image located in an opposite side to the face of the user without turning out the digital camera or the portable telephone having the digital camera under a state that the user holds the digital camera or the portable telephone having the digital camera. The digital camera and the portable telephone having the digital camera of the present invention include a first camera mounted on a first surface of a casing member, a second camera mounted on a second surface in the back side of the first surface of the casing member and a camera selecting unit for selecting a photographing camera. Thus, while the user holds the portable telephone having the camera, the user can photograph the face of the user himself or herself by the first camera, can photograph a scene viewed by the user himself or herself by the second camera or can photograph both the face and the scene at the same time. Further, a synthesizing unit is provided for synthesizing the images respectively photographed by the first camera and the second camera. Accordingly, a synthesized photograph obtained by synthesizing both the images can be taken or after the images are photographed, the images can be synthesized.

    • An airbag module mounted on a boss section of a steering wheel of an automotive vehicle. The airbag module comprises an airbag which is inflatable and developable upon being supplied with gas. A cover is provided including a covering section for covering the airbag. A tearing line is formed at a surface of the covering section of the cover. The tearing line includes a central section having first and second ends which are opposite to each other, and first and second side sections to which the first and second ends of the central section are respectively connected. An inflator is provided having gas ejection openings through which gas is ejected. The gas ejection openings are located inside the airbag. A base member is provided such that the airbag is fixed thereto. Additionally, an opposite member is located opposite to the covering section of the cover and disposed inside the airbag. The opposite member includes a device for guiding gas from the gas ejection openings of the inflator toward first and second side sections of the tearing line of the covering section of the cover.

    • A scanning electron microscope capable of producing an accurate topographical image of a specimen surface irrespective of the elements of the specimen or if the dosage of electron beam varies. The instrument has two detectors arranged in such a way as to detect electron beams reflected from the specimen in two directions which are arranged symmetrically with respect to the normal line to the specimen surface. A subtractor circuit produces the difference between the output signals from the detectors. An adder circuit produces the sum of the output signals from the detectors. A corrective circuit divides the output signal from the subtractor circuit by the output signal from the adder circuit. The output signal from the corrective circuit is integrated by an integrator.
