SOLUTION: Driving electrodes 5, 6 are formed on both surfaces in the thickness direction of a driving part 4 of a piezoelectric transformer main body 3. In the case that vibrating of the driving electrodes 5, 6 is a λ mode, 2/3 of the length turns to the driving electrodes 5, 6, in the 1/2, 3/2λ mode of the length of the piezoelectric transformer main body 3. A part 7 of the main body 3 where the driving electrodes 5, 6 are not formed is a power generating part, and a power generating electrode 8 is formed on the end surface of the part 7. The main surface of the piezoelectric transformer main body constituted in the above manner is supported by retaining part members 9. At positions which are 1/5 or more of the width dimension W distant from the center of the width direction, the piezoelectric transformer is supported by the retaining part members 9, form above the bellow.

    • PURPOSE:To add an illumination function to ignition being a main function by a method wherein a catalyst of a platinum material is mounted in an internal combustion burner, and the internal combustion burner is mounted on a gas nozzle in a manner that it is projected from a lighter body or a part thereof can be seen through side appearance. CONSTITUTION:With a control button 4 pressed, a gas nozzle is pushed upward simultaneously and in linkage with operation of a high voltage generating device 5. In this case, the position of the high voltage generating device 5 is set so that it performs impact operation right after the gas nozzle 3 is pushed up and injection of gas is started. A high voltage spark is generated between a high voltage lead wire 6 and the gas nozzle 3, and gas is ignited. Thereafter, catalyst combustion by a catalyst 8 and combustion accompanied by a normal flame are started in and above an internal combustion burner 10, formed by a heat resistant glass material, by means of ignited gas. Thus, during normal combustion, an ignition function is provided, and during catalyst combustion, an easy illuminating function is satisfied by means of light emitted from a catalyst formed by a platinum material in addition to a windproof effect.

With this arrangement the wear of the L-shaped cam of the outer case caused by repeated operation becomes small, and the variation in the operation stroke until an electric voltage is generated from the initial natural state of the inner case is small and the quantity of displacement of an impact spring 6 is stable and the force of impact is almost the same as the initial state after the endurance, and the high electric voltage generated from a piezoelectric element 2 maintains the initial value and is stable.

    • PURPOSE:To arrange a fan forced heater compact and capable of supplying hot air in wide range by sticking plate electrodes made of conductive material on the both entire surfaces of a heating element to constitute radiation fins to generate hot air. CONSTITUTION:Fins of an air blower are constituted as plate electrodes 8 and 9 made of conductive material are stuck on the both entire surfaces of a plate-positive characteristic heating element. A plurality of radiation fins 11 are provided on the electrode 9 at air blowing-side. A ceramic heater 7 is energized to generate heat. When the heat reaches a specific temperature, electric resistance of the heater 7 increases and calorific value decreases. On the other hand, when the temperature decreases, the calorific value increases. The heater 7 then controls itself to make its temperature constant. When the air blower 8 is operated by a motor, the air absorbs the heat of the fins 11 heated by the heater 7 to be hot air and blowed out. The heater 7 is thus made compact and capable of supplying hot air in wide range.

    • PURPOSE:To arrange a fan forced heater compact and capable of supplying hot air in wide range by providing radiation fins at the outer and inner periphery of a heating element to blow heat of the outer heating element in circumferential direction by an air blower. CONSTITUTION:A ring- positive characteristic heating element is provided with radiation fins 7 at the outer and inner periphery thereof as the radiation fins 7 are adhered to be unified. An air blower 8 is further provided at the outer periphery of the outer radiation fins 7 to blow air in circumferential direction. A ceramic heater 6 is energized to generate heat. When the heat reaches a specific temperature, electric resistance of the heater 6 increases and calorific value decreases. On the other hand, when the temperature decreases, the calorific value increases. The heater 6 then controls itself to make its temperature constant. When the air blower 8 is operated by a motor 10, the air is heated and blowed through the fins 7 heated by the heater 6 in circumferential direction. The heater 6 is thus made compact and capable of supplying hot air in wide range.

    • PURPOSE:To make positive initial ignition and transfer to a smooth catalytic reaction by installing an orifice guiding a gas flow at the upper part of a gas burner, a plurality of ignition gas holes at the periphery of the upper part, and catalytic reaction gas holes at the outer circumference of the center part. CONSTITUTION:Gas is ejected from a gas tank 1 through a gas nozzle 2 and passes through a hollow part 8d of a gas burner 8 and is ejected from a gas orifice 8a and ignition gas holes 8b to the outside of the burner 8 and then ignited by high voltage sparks generated from a high voltage terminal 7 for ignition. The gas ejected from the holes 8b is guided upwards by the gas ejected from the hole 8a and mixed with air properly to make an ignition condition favorable and smooth ignition is carried out. The ignited gas starts a reaction at the upper part of catalyst 4 and then the reaction moves downwards and the catalytic reaction in the whole catalyst 4 is started by the gas ejected from gas holes 8c for reaction.
