摘要： A high efficiency diametrically compact, radial oriented piston hydraulic machine includes a cylinder block with a plurality of cylinders coupled to a first port by a first valve and to a second port by a second valve. A drive shaft with an eccentric cam, is rotatably received in the cylinder block and a cam bearing extend around the eccentric cam. A separate piston is slideably received in each cylinder. A piston rod is coupled at one end to the piston and a curved shoe at the other end abuts the cam bearing. The curved shoe distributes force from the piston rod onto a relatively large area of the cam bearing and a retaining ring holds each shoe against the cam bearing. The cylinder block has opposing ends with a side surface there between through which every cylinder opens. A band engages the side surface closing the openings of the cylinders.

Additional complementary opposing surface irregularities disposed on the raised and recessed surfaces provide a further mechanical restriction in a height direction on the number of possible spatial relationships at which the two sub-parts may be matably assembled. Combined, there is only a single spatial orientation at which the two sub-parts may be assembled. In addition, an electronic switching or detection system may be implemented, which is activated by the proper mating of the two sub-parts. The detection system acts an electronic switch for turning on (or off) another system coupled to the assembly.

Components of the FAAS integrate wireless mesh networks with positioning and communication systems to support real-time tracking of and communications with emergency response personnel. The FAAS incident awareness system provides position and time information via Global Positioning System (GPS) and/or other positioning systems, and processed data from sensors to provide enhanced communications, command and control capabilities to the first responders and incident command at the incident scene.
