    • It is an object of the present invention to provide a camera realizing simultaneously a high magnification zoom lens system and the miniaturization of the device. The digital camera (1) includes a first lens group (G1), a second group frame unit (42), a first group frame unit (41), a third lens group (G3), a CCD unit (33), a lens barrel (31), and an outer case (11). The first lens group (G1) receives in a light flux incident along a first optical axis (A1). The second group frame unit (42) bends the light flux incident along the first optical axis (A1) to a direction along a second optical axis (A2). The first group frame unit (41) retains the first lens group (G1), and moves the first lens group (G1) in the direction along the first optical axis (A1). The third lens group (G3) receives in the light flux bended by the second group frame unit (42). The CCD unit (33) receives the light flux passing through the third lens group (G3). The lens barrel (31) supports the first group frame unit (41) to be movable, and the second group frame unit (42), the third lens group (G3), and the CCD unit (33) are arranged thereon. The exterior portion (11) retains the lens barrel (31). When capturing an image with the up and down vertical direction of the object coinciding the up and down narrow side direction of the image to be captured of the object, direction along said second optical axis (A2) substantially coincides the horizontal direction.

    • A head supporting device includes a supporting arm that is swingable in a plane parallel to a recording surface of a recording medium around a first swing axis and in a plane perpendicular to the recording surface of the recording medium around a second swing axis, a head that is attached to one end of the supporting arm so as to be opposed to the recording medium, a holding member that is allowed to swing around the first swing axis in conjunction with a swinging motion of the supporting arm around the first swing axis, and signal wiring that performs signal sending/receiving with respect to the head. The signal wiring is arranged so that from the head, the signal wiring runs through the supporting arm and the holding member in this order and then is connected to an electric circuit. Thus, the attitude of the supporting arm around the second swing axis is not affected by a reaction force generated when the signal wiring is bent due to a swinging motion of the supporting arm around the first swing axis.
