    • A level having a body portion and one or more openings in the body portion. A vial is mounted in the opening in the body portion. The body portion has vial-recieving seats adjoining the openings which have end walls. The vial-receiving seats have locating elements spaced from the end walls.     • An improved sofa-sleeper deck includes a number of serially interconnected welded grid panels secured to a foldable bed frame. Each panel is hingedly interconnected to the adjacent panel to form the deck of a sofa-sleeper structure. Each welded grid panel comprises a series of spaced, parallel, longitudinal wires and a series of spaced, parallel, transverse wires, all of which are welded at their intersections. A border wire extends around the perimeter of each wire grid panel and is welded at its intersections to both the longitudinal and transverse wires. In order to hingedly interconnect the panels, the longitudinal wires of at least one panel extend beyond the end of the border wire and are wrapped about the border wire of the adjacent panel.

    • An apparatus for training a gait-impaired person to get into and out of a motor vehicle has a cabin having a hollow interior and opposite right and left sides each formed with a door opening. A respective door at each door opening has an upright front edge hinged on the cabin. A car seat has a seat part and a back part in the cabin adjacent the door. The device can have a support movable in the cabin between a front position and a rear position and carrying both the seat part and back part of a front seat. A car rear seat has a back part fixed on a rear wall of the cabin and a seat part mounted on the support spacedly behind the front seat. In the rear position of the support the back part of the front seat is closely juxtaposed with the back part of the rear seat, the seat part of the rear seat is pushed back underneath the back part of the rear seat, and the front seat is spaced backwardly from the dashboard. In the front position of the support the front seat is nested under the dashboard and spaced forwardly from the back part of the rear seat and the seat part of the rear seat is pulled out from underneath the back part of the rear seat.

    • A miniature circuit breaker having a pair of operable contacts in a main current path between a line terminal and load terminal, a trip mechanism for opening the contacts if an overcurrent condition occurs, and an electric motor to close the contacts via a contact closing mechanism. The trip mechanism includes a trigger mechanism and a contact opening mechanism, a current sensor arranged to detect current through the main current path, and a control unit. The control unit produces a trip signal to operate the trigger mechanism if it determines a short circuit condition occurs based on output of the current sensor; and the control unit is arranged to operate the electric motor to trigger the contact opening mechanism into opening the contacts independently of the trigger mechanism if it determines that an overload condition occurs.

    • The invention provides an insert assembly to convert an existing fireplace hearth into a gas burning fireplace and a method for installing the insert assembly while conveying the appearance of a wood burning fireplace. The insert assembly comprises legs removably attachable to the base of the firebox for allowing the insert to be installed higher into the hearth. The inner walls of the firebox are colored so as to camouflage the structure of the assembly in the hearth and a decorative fender mimics a wood burning grill. Where the insert includes a heat exchanger, a guide plate is provided at the top of the insert to ensure that air exiting the heat exchange outlet at the top of the insert is directed into the room.

    • An earth-boring rotary drill bit includes a bit body configured to carry one or more cutters for engaging a subterranean earth formation, the bit body comprising a particle-matrix composite material having a plurality of hard particles dispersed throughout a matrix material, the matrix material comprising a shape memory alloy. The matrix material comprises a metal alloy configured to undergo a reversible phase transformation between an austenitic phase and a martensitic phase. The matrix material may include an Ni-based alloy, Cu-based alloy, Co-based alloy, Fe-based alloy or Ti-based alloy. The drill bit may be made by a method that includes: providing a plurality of hard particles in a mold to define a particle precursor of the bit body; infiltrating the particle precursor of the bit body with a molten matrix material comprising a shape memory alloy forming a particle-matrix mixture; and cooling the molten particle-matrix mixture to solidify the matrix material and forming a bit body having a particle-matrix composite material comprising a shape memory alloy.

    • The present invention relates to compositions and methods for forming a bit body for an earth-boring bit. The bit body may comprise hard particles, wherein the hard particles comprise at least one carbide, nitride, boride, and oxide and solid solutions thereof, and a binder binding together the hard particles. The binder may comprise at least one metal selected from cobalt, nickel, and iron, and, optionally, at least one melting point reducing constituent selected from a transition metal carbide in the range of 30 to 60 weight percent, boron up to 10 weight percent, silicon up to 20 weight percent, chromium up to 20 weight percent, and manganese up to 25 weight percent, wherein the weight percentages are based on the total weight of the binder. In addition, the hard particles may comprise at least one of (i) cast carbide (WC+W2C) particles, (ii) transition metal carbide particles selected from the carbides of titanium, chromium, vanadium, zirconium, hafnium, tantalum, molybdenum, niobium, and tungsten, and (iii) sintered cemented carbide particles.
