    • An array of liquid dispensing elements are positioned on a substrate. Each liquid dispensing element includes a liquid dispensing channel positioned on the substrate. The liquid dispensing channel includes an outlet opening positioned on a wall opposite the substrate. A diverter member is associated with the liquid dispensing channel. A liquid return channel is positioned on the substrate and is in fluid communication with the liquid dispensing channel. A liquid supply channel is positioned on the substrate and is in fluid communication with the liquid dispensing channel. A liquid supply passage extends through the substrate and is in fluid communication with the liquid supply channel. A liquid return passage extends through the substrate and is in fluid communication with the liquid return channel. A liquid is provided that flows from the liquid supply passage through the liquid supply channel, through the liquid dispensing channel, through the liquid return channel to the liquid return passage of the array of liquid dispensing elements. A liquid drop is ejected from the outlet opening of the liquid dispensing channel of one of the liquid dispensing elements by selectively actuating the diverter member of the liquid dispensing element to divert a portion of the flowing liquid through the outlet opening of the liquid dispensing channel of the liquid dispensing element.

A diverter member forms at least a portion of a wall of the liquid ejector channel. A portion of the diverter member is selectively movable into the liquid flowing through the liquid ejector channel. The momentum of the liquid causes some of the liquid to be diverted through the outlet opening when the portion of the diverter member is moved into the liquid flowing through the liquid ejector channel.

    • In one embodiment, a phase detector is provided comprising a first input, a second input, and first circuitry in communication with the first and second inputs, the first circuitry operative to provide an indication of a phase difference between a first signal supplied by the first input and a second signal supplied by the second input, wherein an aberration in one of the first and second signals results in an incorrect indication of phase difference. The phase detector also comprises second circuitry in communication with the first circuitry, the second circuitry operative to provide a correct indication of phase difference despite the aberration in the at least one of the first and second signals. In another embodiment, a differential phase detector is provided.

    • The current invention provides a method of identifying a ischemic lesion. The method includes loading perfusion imaging data into an electronic memory element and deriving perfusion maps from the perfusion imaging data, where the perfusion maps include a cerebral blood volume (CBV) map and an arterial delay time (DT) map, which utilize arterial delay and dispersion effects. Ischemic pixels are determined from the perfusion imaging data, where the DT is greater than a predetermined first threshold value and the CBV is below a second threshold value and the infarct portion of the ischemic lesion is determined, where DT is greater than a predetermined third threshold value and/or the CBV is below a forth threshold value. A cluster analysis is applied to all of the determined ischemic lesion and infarct pixels and the penumbra is then determined, where mismatch regions between the ischemic lesion and the infarct core define the penumbra.
