    • On an information recording medium such as a DVD audio, record information is recorded. The record information comprises a plurality of information units each including header information and divided-compressed audio information obtained by dividing compressed audio information so as to include one or a plurality of lead data positioned at a lead of compressed partial audio information. The compressed partial audio information is generated by variable-length-compressing partial audio information obtained by dividing raw audio information and by multiplexing it with compression control information. The compressed audio information is generated by arranging the compressed partial audio information in an order of reproduction. The compression control information includes first control information to control an inputting and outputting operation of the compressed partial audio information with respect to a first buffer, which is used when reproducing the compressed audio information. The header information includes second control information to control an inputting and outputting operation of the divided-compressed audio information with respect to a second buffer, which is used when reproducing the compressed audio information.

When the characteristics of the nonvolatile memory cells MC00 through MC12 shift due to the influence of a change in temperature or the like, the characteristics of the reference cell 2 shift so as to follow this characteristic shift. The operation timing of a sense amplifier section 8 in read operation is generated by a control circuit, and the timing of the termination of the sense operation from among the operation timing is determined by timing control circuit (delay circuit delay and AND circuits AN0 and AN1) with the termination of the sense of the reference cell 2.

    • A vehicular headlamp including a light source bulb, a reflector reflecting light from the light source bulb forward in a convergent manner, a condensing lens provided at such a position that, of the light reflected from the reflector, at least a meridian light flux in a vertical cross-section is incident as divergent light, a shade provided in proximity to a position of convergence of the meridian light flux and which blocks part of the reflected light, and an aiming bracket to which an aiming member for tilting the reflector is attached. The shade is composed of a metal plate member that is formed integrally with the aiming bracket, and is attached to the reflector. With this construction, the total number of parts of the headlamp is reduced and costs can be reduced accordingly.

    • A modified polyacetal is obtainable by heating 0.1 to 30 parts by weight of (B) a polymerizable compound having a modifying group such as an epoxy group, a carboxyl group or an acid anhydride group relative to 100 parts by weight of (A) a base polyacetal and introducing the modifying group of the polymerizable compound to the base polyacetal. The base polyacetal (A) includes (A1) a polyacetal selected from polyoxymethylene homopolymers and copolymers, and (A2) a polymerizable polyacetal having a functional group comprising a polymerizablly unsaturated bond. The introduction efficiency of the modifying group can be enhanced by adding 0.01 to 2.5 parts by weight of (C) a free-radical initiator relative to 100 parts by weight of the total amount of the components (A) and (B), and mixing the resultant mixture under a molten state of the polyacetal. According to such method, the affinity of the polyacetal is improved by introducing the modifying group to the base polyacetal with ease and high efficiency.
