摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability by lightening load applied to a roller in rotary fluid machinery for converting the reciprocation of a piston and the rotary motion of a rotor to each other by engagement of the roller and an annular groove. SOLUTION: The value of a positive peak part of piston pressure load received by the roller engaged with the annular groove and the value of a positive peak part of centrifugal force load substantially agree with each other, and the two peak parts are shifted in phase. The phase of a negative peak part of vane depress load received by the roller and the phase of a positive peak part of piston pressure load overlap each other at least partially. By this arrangement, the peak value of total load of the roller and the load fluctuation amount are held down so as to improve durability of the roller.

SOLUTION: A waste heat recovery device of an internal combustion engine is provided with an evaporator for generating high-pressure steam by taking waste heat of the engine as a heat source, an expander 4 for generating output of the expansion of the high-pressure steam, and a condenser for liquefying low-pressure steam discharged from the expander 4. The expander 4 is provided with a casing 7, a rotor 31 and a plurality of vane piston units U1 to U12 radially arranged on the rotor 31. Each of the vane piston units U1 to U12 is composed of a vane 42 to be slid in a rotor chamber 14 and a piston 41 to be brought into contact with the non-sliding side of the vane 42. The pistons 41 are operated by the expansion of the high-pressure steam to rotate the rotor 31 via the vanes 42, and the rotor 31 is rotated via the vanes 42 through the expansion of low-pressure gas generated by the drop in pressure of high-pressure gas.

CONSTITUTION: The valve spring retainer having a tapered hole extending in an axial line direction is produced by powder forging. An annular powder preform 16 having a spare hole 32 extending in an axial line direction is loaded into the large-diameter part forming region 22 of the stepped cylindrical cavity 21 opened at the upper surface 20 of a lower metal mold 18. A metal mold body 28 of the upper metal mold 19 is then fitted into the large-diameter part forming region 22 and an arbor 30 for forming a tapered hole projectingly formed at the rear end face 29 of the metal mold body 28 is loosely inserted into the spare hole 32 of the annular powder preform 16 and, thereafter, the annular powder preform 16 is compressed by the metal mold body 28. As a result, material flow f1 is generated inward in the radial direction within the large-diameter part forming region 22 and a compressive force is generated in the outer peripheral region of the large-diameter part of the valve spring retainer and, therefore, the generation of the crack in this outer peripheral region is averted.

Steam in a cylinder chamber at a first stage contains no water because it is within an overheated steam area, therefore no water-hammering phenomenon occurs in the cylinder chamber. Steam at an outlet of the vane chamber contains water because it is within a saturated steam area, therefore lubrication and sealing of the vane chamber can be attained.

SOLUTION: A plate vane 42 radially arranged in a rotor 31 and moving in the direction of radius is mounted by being caught in a pair of side plates 41 on the both ends. A pressurized liquid phase fluid with high pressure is supplied from a center of the rotor 31 to a vane sleeve face 121 through a passage of pressurized liquid phase fluid W14, W15 and an orifice forming part 124, and the vane 42 is supported in a floating state by forming oil membrane of the pressurized liquid phase fluid between a vane sleeve face 121 of the side plate 40. A harmful effect due to conclusion of lubricating oil into the working medium can be avoided because the vane is statically supported with the same water as steam which is working medium driving the rotor 31 through the vane 42.
