摘要： PURPOSE:To enable high speed recording with greater frequency response by recording ink particles only necessary for recording with a charge deflection among those of constant size generated through the excitation of a nozzle being fed with a pressure ink all the time. CONSTITUTION:An upper cover 22 having an ink feeding hole 26 communicating to an ink feeding pipe 23 is joined on to a base plate 21 on which a nozzle hole 25 communicating to an ink chamber 24 is formed like a groove. An electric-mechanical conversion element 5 is bonded on the surface corresponding to the ink chamber 24 of the base plate 21 to form a nozzle head 1. A high frequency signal voltage is applied to the element 5 from a high frequency source 4 to excite the element 5 and the base plate 21 to jet ink particles 3 from the hole 25 at a cycle equal to the frequency. Then, the ink particles 3 are charged with a charging electrode 6 connected to an information signal source 7 and passed through a deflection electrode 8 connected to a deflection source to a course 3' according to the charge level of the ink particles 3 so that they can reaches the surface of a recording body 10 whereby an image 11 is formed.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enable reliable detection of abnormalities by applying part of a drive pulse voltage for recording or a drive pulse voltage for abnormality detection to part of an electric/mechanic transducer when abnormalities are detected. CONSTITUTION:An electric/mechanic transducer 9 is connected to a detection circuit 13 and a drive pulse voltage generation circuit 11 generates a detection pulse voltage Pd near a fluid machine resonance frequency fgamma of a nozzle 1. Consequently, a distortion generates in an electric/mechanic transducer 8, vibrating a silicon plate 2; but no ink particles are injected. This vibration is transmitted to another electric/mechanic transducer 9 and provided to a detection circuit 13 as a detection signal. The vibration of the silicon plate 2 varies according to the existence of foams in ink chambers 5a, 5b, and also the detection signal changes accordingly. A comparison circuit identifies the difference in magnitude of a detection signal voltage referring to a reference signal voltage. Then it generates an output voltage when foams are entrained into the ink chambers 5a, 5b.

摘要： PURPOSE:To resolve the problem in storage time by facilitating the exchange and the treatment of ink, by a method wherein the cap isolating the inside of a recording head from the open air is established when the recording head is maintained and bubbles are removed. CONSTITUTION:The depressed part 26 of a recording head 1 is covered with a cap 101 and an orifice 16 and a connecting pipe 25 are isolated from the open air.Further, the suction pipe 22 of an ink recovery part 11 is covered with a cap 102. Further, because a nozzle, an ink tank, and an ink recovery part are united in a body, the recovery of ink in removal of bubbles can be easily treated with the ink recovery part. The recording head 1 is easy to be removed from a carrier base and attached thereto, and when the recording becomes impossible because of the clogging of a nozzle orifice 16 and the shortage of ink, it can be immediately replaced with a new one. Therefore, the head for main tenance shall be sufficiently filled with ink and free from the leak of ink and the clogging of the nozzle orifice. Because the titled printer can be always kept under a state impossible to be used by equipping the cap for maintenance 200, the parts to be repaired can be immediately replaced by removing the cap.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make the easy treatment of the recovery ink while making the removal of bubbles possible, by interconnecting an ink tank to an ink recovery part and the ink recovery part to a nozzle pipe discharge part respectively via valves. CONSTITUTION:An ink recovery part 11 is arranged under a nozzle part 9 and for instance, porous absorbing material 21 is filled therein. Because an ink particle becomes not to jet when a bubble is generated in a nozzle pipe 12, the bubble is removed with a purge mechanism part. IN the operation of purge, the valve 31 in a pump chamber 30 is lowered in the direction D, the valve 26 installed to the ink recovery part 11 being displaced from the position of a dotted line to the position of a solid line and a conduit 22 is closed with the valve 24 installed to an ink tank 10. The depressed part 9a of nozzle part 9 becomes of negative pressure, ink 14 is sucked-in and the bubble is removed. The sucked ink is absorbed to the ink absorbing material 21 in the ink recovery part 11 to be recovered. When the purge operation is completed, the ink jet recorder returns to the initial state through a return mechanism.

CONSTITUTION:A sensor 42 for detecting the charging state of ink particles 35 is disposed between a charging electrode 36 and a deflecting electrode 38. When an ink jet recorder is operated, the abnormal state of the electrode 36 is first examined. In this case, outputs of correction signal sources 41a, 41b are zero, and a resistor R and a diode D are grounded. The contacts (a), (c) of a switch SW are connected to examine the charge amount of ink particles 35 due to the charging electrodes 36a. When the output signal waveform of a detector 43 is (e), an electric shortcircuit due to the ink and dusts of the charging electrodes 36a, 36b is eliminated to be normal; when zero as (f), an abnormality such as an electric shortcircuit exists at the electrodes 36a, 36b, and when remarkably small and unstable like (g), it is the sign of the abnormality.

摘要： PURPOSE:To wash a nozzle and a cap simultaneously, in the impulse type ink jet recording device, by compressing the cap provided with an outer lid and an inner lid to the opening part of the nozzle, and flowing washing liquid in the space between the inner lid and the end surface of a head. CONSTITUTION:An outer lid 11 and inner lid 12 are coated by a material such as rubber and Teflon. The entie cap is made of a flexible member. When the ink head is returned to the specified position at the end of printing, supporting rods 23 of the cap, which can be moved in the directions of arrows A, compress the outer lid 11 of the cap to a head 220. Under such a situation, the washing liquid is flowed to a space 25 through a supply pipe 21 in the direction of an arrow B, and the end surface of the head and the inner lid 12 of the cap are washed. Thereafter, the inner lid 12 of the cap is compressed to the opening part of a nozzle 222 by a sliding rod 24. Under this state, drying of the ink solvent at the nozzle part can be prevented.

Additionally, a piezoelectric element 5 is fixed to the channel path 51a in the substrate 51, and is connected to an excitation source 4.

CONSTITUTION:Flows 21a-21c of ink grown in a nozzle head 1 are passed through a charging electrode 30 to charge. They pass near a detection electrode 43 of a sensor 40 provided with a notch 42 for passing the ink particles on a ceramic base plate 41 to accumulate the charge of the ink particles therein. The charge is fed to a signal processing circuit 50, the output signal of which is inputted into a comparator 60 to be compared with the reference voltage Ec. Signals exceeding the reference voltage Ec1 are normal hence requiring no processing. When signals Eo exceeds the reference voltage Ec2, a processing signal is provided to adjust the output signal value of an information signal source 20 so that the ink particles are jetted normally. When they are below the reference voltage Ec2. The adjustment of the information signal source 20 allows no processing and an alarm 70 is actuated to generate a warning.

When ink is supplied (a), an ink flow which passes the throttle 11 is divided along the land 12, is expanded by the capillarity of its latter half wall and then joined again.
