摘要： PURPOSE:To stabilize cell properties by making holes for supply and removal of fuel and air. CONSTITUTION:A supplying hole 1 and a removing hole 2 for fuel, and a supplying hole 70 and a removing hole 70 for air are made on a separator 10, and guide passage grooves 4-1, 4-2 leading from these holes 1, 2, 70, 71 to the main passage groove of the separator are made. A cover plate if necessary, is also located and made on the guide passage grooves 4-1, 4-2. In addition, grooves for seal are made at the neighborhood and the circumference of each of holes 1, 2, 70, 71, and sticky putty or a gasket for sealing is used. Consequently, the chambers of the grooves 4-1, 4-2 are capable of air tight, and the separator 10 having function of a rubber frame is attained. As the result, it is possible to stabilize cell properties.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make a cell lightweight, to heighten cell voltage, and to lengthen the life by giving supply and exhaust functions of liquid fuel and oxidizing agent to electrodes and by combining them with impermeable separators. CONSTITUTION:Electrodes 1, 2 are formed by installing grooves 4 for supplying and exhausting fuel and oxidizing agent on the one side of a conductive porous substrate and applying a catalyst such as platinum onto its other side. An electrolyte 3 consists of an ion exchange membrane into which a sulfuric acid aqueous solution is impregnated. Separators 5 are flat plates comprising a mixture of expanded graphite and water repellent material. By using the electrodes 1, 2 having electrochemical reaction conducting parts and fuel and oxidizing agent supply and exhaust parts and the electrolyte impermeable separators 5, a cell is made compact and cell voltage is heightened, and the life is lengthened.

The raw liq. 16 flowing in the chamber 18 is disturbed by the accelerator 14, and the film heat transfer coefficient at the interface with a hydrophobic porous membrane 13 can be increased. As a result, the heat resistance in the laminar film is reduced, the temp. difference between the bulky raw liq. and the interface can be reduced, the steam pressure retained by the raw liq. can be effectively utilized, the temp. drop due to the resistance by heat in the laminar film is prevented, and the permeation amt. can be increased.

CONSTITUTION: An absorbing liquid 50 flowing through a clearance 600 formed by a heat transfer surface 33 and a hydrophobic porous material 500 is heated and evaporated by heated water 301 flowing facing it through the heat transfer surface 33 and steam 1000 passes through pore parts of the hydrophobic porous material 500. The absorbing liquid concentrated further flows through the clearance part and is heated by the higher temperature heated water to be further evaporated and concentrated. On the other hand, in the absorber, an absorbing liquid 60 flowing through a clearance 600 is cooled by cooling water 101 flowing facing the absorbing liquid to lower the steam pressure thereof and absorbs steam 2000 moving from an evaporator. With a further drop in the concentration, the absorbing liquid is cooled by lower temperature cooling water to be diluted further absorbing the steam.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent contamination at the time of feeding, and to form a thin oxide film of high quality while controlling oxidizing velocity in ultrahighly pure water by forming an oxide film on the surface of a semiconductor wafer in the ultrahighly pure water by condensing steam passed through a hydrophobic porous film. CONSTITUTION:In order to first remove the contaminants and natural oxide film of the surface of a silicon wafer substrate 32, it is cleaned with chemicals. Then, after the used chemicals are removed and cleaned with superpure water, it is oxidized under water with new ultrahighly pure water 34. Here, after an oxide film of approx. 10-40Angstrom is formed, it is dried by spin drying, IPA vapor drying or steam drying, and oxidized in a furnace. Accordingly, when moving from the cleaning step through the drying step to the oxidizing step, since the surface of the silicon wafer is made hydrophilic, contaminants can be considerably prevented as compared with a conventional system being hydrophobic.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enhance purity by transferring steam generated from raw water outside of a clean room into the clean room in a vapor phase state and condensing it with a condenser equipped with a hydrophobic porous membrane. CONSTITUTION:Pretreated raw water 20 is introduced into a decarboxylation and TOC removal part 21 and boiled with a heater 23 and CO2 and TOC components are removed together with steam. Steam 24 is made to a heat source for generating steam of the following steam generation part 22 and condensed water is discharged to the outside of the system as drain 27. The raw water cleared of respective components is passed through a flow rate regulation valve 26 and sent to the steam generation part 22. The raw water is made to vapor herein, passed through a pipeline 25 and sent into a clean room. The steam sent through the pipeline 25 is passed through a membrane module 31 having a hydrophobic porous membrane 33 and separated from the companying mist. Thereby its purity can be more enhanced.

With this constitution, the fuel 5 to be fed to the fuel chamber 3 from a lower part of the fuel tank 10 is stirred up by what the generated carbonic acid gas 6 is moved to the liquid phase at an upper part of the fuel tank 10 from an upper part of the fuel chamber 3, and the fuel 5 in the fuel tank 10 and the fuel chamber is circulated by a natural convection phenomenon whereby effective supply of the fuel into the fuel chamber 3 is made performable.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain high purity distilled water by suppressing inclusion of impurity, by arranging a hydrophobic porous membrane to the flow passage of generated steam. CONSTITUTION:Steam enters from a steam inlet 101 to be supplied to the inner wall of a pipe 102 from the upper space thereof and is condensed in said pipe 102 to be accumulated in the lower storage tank 103 of a distiller. The hot water from the distiller of a front stage falls in the upper space of the pipe 102 from above through a hot water inlet 106 to be accumulated on a tray 107. Subsequently, the hot water is allowed to flow down along the outer wall of the pipe 102 in a membrane form from the small hole provided to the connection part of the tray 107 and the pipe 102. This flow-down hot water is evaporated by the steam flowing through the pipe 102 to generate steam 108 which is, in turn, transmitted through the hydrophobic porous membrane 109 provided to an outlet 110 and the fine particle or water mist in the steam is removed by the membrane 109 to form high purity steam which is, in turn, emitted to the outside from the outlet 110 to be sent to the next distiller.

When a unit cell composed of ion exchange film 40a interposed between air electrode 41a and methanol electrode 42b is in a normal state, an abnormal unit cell is removed by using a thread 21b, which electrically connects a surface of a separator with a surface of another separator at the outer side, instead of using a connecting thread 21a which electrically connects between both surfaces of the separator. By the arrangement, a series connection of the cell removing the abnormal unit cell can be achieved.

The water is then pressurized by a pump 5, heated by a heater 6 to a temp. higher than the b.p. of water, and injected from a spray nozzle 8. A part of the water is evaporated therein, and the steam reaches the upper part of a flash evaporator 7 and is permeated through a porous membrane 9. The permeated steam is condensed by the cooling water from a cooling water feed line 10 to form distilled water. As a result, high-purity distilled water can be obtained.
