摘要： Provided herein are immobilized liquid membranes for gas separation, methods of preparing such membranes and uses thereof. In one example, the immobilized membrane includes a porous metallic host matrix and an immobilized liquid fluid (such as a silicone oil) that is immobilized within one or more pores included within the porous metallic host matrix. The immobilized liquid membrane is capable of selective permeation of one type of molecule (such as oxygen) over another type of molecule (such as water). In some examples, the selective membrane is incorporated into a device to supply oxygen from ambient air to the device for electrochemical reactions, and at the same time, to block water penetration and electrolyte loss from the device.

摘要： Persistent files stored in non-XIP flash memory are accessed during operation of an electronic device. During execution of application code on the device, the persistent files are accessed using an access directory such as a look-up table. The access directory provides information that allows an application or other software code running on the processor of the device to locate and access a persistent file within a non-XIP flash memory device where the non-XIP flash memory device may include bad blocks. During creation of the access directory, locations of the bad blocks in the device are identified and recorded. Files are accessed from the non-XIP flash memory device by reading from file start locations identified in the access directory while accounting for bad blocks identified in the bad block data of the access directory.

摘要： Methods and apparatus are described for patterned deposition of nanostructure-containing materials by self-assembly and related articles. According to an exemplary embodiment self-assembly method for depositing nanostructure-containing materials includes forming a nanostructure-containing material. The nanostructure-containing material is chemically functionalized and dispersed in a liquid medium to form a suspension. At least a portion of a substrate having a surface that can attract the functionalized nanostructure-containing material is brought into contact with the suspension. The substrate is separated from the suspension. The nanostructure-containing material adheres to the portion of the substrate when separated from the suspension. According to another exemplary embodiment, hydrophilic and hydrophobic regions are formed on the surface of the substrate before bringing the substrate into contact with the suspension. The functionalized nanostructure-containing material is hydrophilic and adheres to the hydrophilic region of the substrate when separated from the suspension.
