A device disclosed comprises: a buffer memory A; a buffer memory B; and a memory controller. The memory controller may comprise a read-write control circuit for the buffer memory A, a read-write control circuit for the buffer memory B, and a buffer memory selection circuit. The buffer memory selection circuit is used to generate a read-write selection signal for the buffer memory A and the buffer memory B. The read-write control circuit for the buffer memory A is connected to the buffer memory A and used to implement a read operation or a write operation on the buffer memory A according to the read-write selection signal. The read-write control circuit for the buffer memory B is connected to the buffer memory B and used to implement a read operation or a write operation on the buffer memory B according to the read-write selection signal. The devices and methods are capable of implementing read and write operations on memories synchronously, which can improve the speed of error diffusion during use.

    • A method of making a microelectromechanical microwave vacuum tube device is disclosed. The device is formed by defining structural regions and sacrificial regions in a substrate. The structural regions have flexural members. The substrate is treated to remove the sacrificial regions and release the structural regions such that the structural regions are moveable by the flexural members. The structural regions include a device cathode, a device grid or both a device cathode and a device grid. The cathode comprises electron emitters. The device further includes an output structure where amplified microwave power is removed from the device. In the method, the cathode surface and the grid surface are moved to a position where they are substantially parallel to each other and substantially perpendicular to the substrate. The device further comprises an anode that is substantially parallel to the cathode surface and the grid surface.

    • The present invention provides devices for detecting the presence of an analyte in a liquid sample. The parts of the device include a sample collector for collecting and applying a liquid sample, a test matrix with reagents for detecting the analyte, a sample application port for receiving the liquid sample, the port being in fluid communication with the test matrix, a storage port for storing the sample collector in contact with the device, a window though which at least a portion of the matrix is visible, and a standards card having one or more color standards for comparison with the test matrix. In one embodiment the analyte detected is alcohol is saliva (ethanol). In use the sample collector is placed in contact with the sample (e.g., in the mouth of the subject) and filled with sample, and the sample is expressed from the collector at the sample application port to begin the assay. The standards cards on the device are used for comparison to identify the concentration of analyte in the sample. Methods of use and kits are also provided.
